The girl in the bikini actually looks healthy and naturally thin. No hip or chest bones jutting out!
I know that I’ve probably been desensitized by seeing so many deathly thin runway models, but I think that these ones (perhaps aside from the first) look pretty good as far as that realm goes. I think that girl in the red swimsuit especially looks really cute. They look alive and well unlike some of the tiny runway models who look to be on their death bed!

The first girl is deffinatley scary skinny. I think the girl in the bathing suit as well as the brunnette one in the dress aren’t so bad. I think runway models have gotten healtheir looking in the past few years actually, not so much like the first girl.
The UK is the only country in Europe that still wants super skinny models, there is no ban on the under 18 bmi, so I’m not surprised, not only skinny but ugly too.

After seeing theses pics, I believe the rumor that some models only eat 3 grapes a day (one for breakfast, one for lunch, and one for dinner)!

the first and the second one look more dead than alive. sad, they probably miss the best part of life struggeling hard to stay that thin. I don’t think you can look like that by having a good metabolism and drinking 3 litres water a day and doing some yoga. poor girls.
Anyway the bikinigirl looks very good weightwise for a model.

I don’t think the models except the first two are too skinny. They are runway models after all, and still there are thinner ones, like Vlada and Olga..
with the new rules why make a post about ’super skinny models’..what exactly is the message of this website? all kinds of people do view it,as well as those with disorders. I am a fan of this site, but can’t help but notice the hypocricy sometimes
The old me would have said “beautiful!” but they aren’t…even the “healthier” looking ones. Extreme either-way is never desirable.

forget the models, lets talk about how awfull these clothes are! bad bad bad! lastly is it sad that i looked at these girls and thought they arent that skinny.. i think actress today are skinnier than models, which is why i feel some actress feel the need to be so skinny, bc they are replaces models on the cover of magazines

@Shaun, I super agree,, the third dress is the worst, my mum dresses up like that when she cleans but she wears a scarf on her head, and the rest, well……………speechless.

This first girl omg! The rest look skinny but not quite as scary!
They are all too thin except for the red bikini gal…she doesn’t look like she is on the 3 grape diet at least. The last gal in the ugly white dress…it’s hard to tell but her face looks fuller, so she might not be too bad either.

@londoncalling: if your mother dresses like that when she cleans then damn she must be super stylish! I actually love the second and third dresses. I don’t like the hair with the third one though, or the shoes. If accessorised better, I think that would be one cute outfit!
I am so over making a big deal out of skinny models.
Most of the superskinny models I see have very unfortunate faces, they are probably over-compensating.
I like models such as Lily Donaldson (who, btw, we need some posts of!), who are skinny, yet not malnourished
I imagine that the designer makes a conscious decision to use a model that looks good in a bikini as opposed to the typical “scary skinny” runway model because would detract from the swimsuit.

To be honest the first girl makes me never want to eat again.
i absolutely adore EVERYTHING about the bathing suit outfit! including her incredible curly hair. i wish my hair could look like that…mine’s just frizzy poo. not to mention i wish i looked that good in a bathing suit.

isn’t itz strange how the designers/organizers say the women aren’t too thin yet always put their biggest girl [with little or no bones showing] in the bikini, as if tryin 2 fool the public into thinking all the models are as big as that [not that they're big, just big by comparison]. funny that eh?

The one with the bikini doesn’t look to bad. She’s got thighs. Most men prefer curvy women. I don’t get why the media endorses all the thinness of models. It baffles me. Most of these models look like 15 year old boys.

i think the second one looks horrile its hard to catergorize models as too thin becuase its almost like they have a different standard of thiness becuase im just used to seeing them all as thin but i find the bikini girl acually kind of cute but still almost too skinny

It’s sooo lazy using abnormally thin, odd looking women as models – it’s like instant unattainable aspiration for us all to waste our time and money on. On the other hand the fashion industry would be very dull if it centered around the average woman.

@s90, i think the second dress is by temperley, they had lots of ruffles in the collection, i don’t think there is any of Christopher Kane in these pictures, his collection were full of half circle in different sizes and gorilla prints, so many beautiful clothes, and here are the dullest ones, especially the third one.
The first one looks AWFUL. Where are the curves?! Thats not what women are supposed to look like.

LOVE the hair on the last model! Not sure why but I do. That first models hips look awful, way too much sticking out even under the fabric that is nowhere near smoothe. The last three look okay, IMO. The first two are just too insect-ish, they need a good 10 pounds to be attractive.
i don’t get the point of these posts talking about the weight of super-models.
i appreciate the pictures from the runway but the thing is, models are supposed to be like that on the fashion cat-walk. The waifer thin look has always been the look of the runway and it will never change.
@ elle JMO but the VS models, while they may be the same height or dress size, do look healthier. They carry the weight in a way that they look feminine, do not have chest bones and hip bones sticking way far out and just don’t look frail. Maybe it’s the type of diet or exercise that helps keep muscle on them instead of deteriorating to just bones or maybe some have a different frame, like wider hips yet not huge hip bones that protrude. But they don’t look ill like some of these girls do.
oh my… i think when models are so skinny the attention is drawn to their bones and not the clothes.

I really don’t think they look TOO thin, EXCEPT the second girl, who’s legs are so far apart and skinny. The first girls hair accessory is beautiful, just thought I’d add that.

the first two i feel are ridiculously skinny. the rest are of course tiny but at least look happy. when i see models wakling down the runway without even the hint of emotion in their faces, i feel like the only thing they could be thinking about its food!!!
Does anyone else think the third model looks a little like Rachel McAdams? Maybe it’s just me. But yeah, I do think they are pretty thin, but the first is definitely the thinnest. I feel bad for these models. When their careers are over they’re going to realize that their bodies are pretty much shot.

I don’t get it why do all the fashion designers think close look better in stick thin girls when it so not the case. why not rig close hangers to a zip line and show the close off that way…. i mean really these girls are so thin that that’s all they are is walking coat hangers…right?
The first two are way too thin, especially the first -she literally is straight up and down, front and back. However, I think the third and fourth girls look perfectly healthy. Not everyone is super curvy – even before our current dichotomy of way too skinny models and a way to obese chunk of the general population, clothing came in a range of sizes for a reason.

I agree with the person above who said that these girls (with the exception of the first and second) don’t look any different from VS models who are supposedly so “healthy and curvy”. Slap a pair of fake boobs on any of the above models and bam, there’s your VS show.
No they don’t LOOK ill or anorexic or anything ok some may have Eating Disorders but they look very skinny and beautyful and thin and they look wonderful.
@ irish girl, you are completely right, when i look at these models, i dont even look at the clothes because im so disgusted by the bones.
uhm…. i may be completely insane, but i think they look good. i don’t really get the “EWWWWW!” comments. i get there’s different taste, but i think these models look elegant and yes, very thin. but not really overly so. they are, after all, models! they are “designed” by the fashion industry as well as the clothes, in some ways, and they are getting paid. i totally get that some people do not like this industry, but hey, it’s not like they’re forced to be models…. or thin. there are other professions in this life to pursue.

Honestly, I understand how like, runway models should be SLIM. But I think that it doesn’t do the modeling industry any justice when they display starved girls on the cat walk. And maybe one or two lucky girls are born that skinny naturally, but they definately didn’t get that way from just a fast metabolism — and the designers must know it too.
They don’t look rail thin at all they look normal for once. Models a few seasons back were WAYYY thinner. Like thin to the point of death.

You want to see how SICK the fashion industry is google the model Kate Somers……she is literally a walking skeleton and has gotten more work than EVER this season. The models are thinner than ever now a days and it is SICK SICK SICK.
