I’m sorry but they look ridiculous. I go running with my husband and the last thing I want to do is hold his hand while I’m working out. Weight-wise they both look pretty good though.

maybe they were just running across the street and he was trying to help her across quickly before a car came and then they let go of each other’s hands after? maybe it was just the timing of the shot? I certainly don’t see how (or why you would want to) anyone could jog while holding hands.. if that is the case then Tom really IS controlling or they are trying to look they are in love too hard… wow, so strange!
I don’t have anything against these two. They seem like perfectly nice people even if their marriage is allegedly a sham. It would be nice to run with my boyfriend—his butt’s too lazy.
I prefer a man that let’s his woman run ahead of him.
I’m a runner and I don’t even like running strollers because I can’t move my arms let alone holding someones hand. Whatever works for them.
They’re crossing the street – it could be that he reached back to grab her fingers in a nice gesture towards safety.
However, if they do jog while holding hands, heaven help them.

newgrrl99, the paparazzi who took the photos said they were jogging by the river… who knows though! The holding hands while jogging thing is rather odd.
Isn’t she the runner in family? Doesn’t she run marathons? Why is he leading? Admittedly, the picture might be mis-informing, but as it is, it makes him look as domineering and creepy as usual.

She looks tired…maybe he just grabbed her hand for a second to encourage her to keep running, or you know…any number of things. It just seems sort of harsh to start belittling them based on one harmless snapshot of one moment of their lives…I wonder what sort of ridiculous looking things would be caught on film if all of us were followed by cameras all day.
Hardly running holding hands, looks like he’s guiding her across the road, so what if he’s a little protective, it’s quite natural behaviour IMO.
I like fit couples, it’s always good if you share the desire to be healthy and exercise with your partner.

I’m trying the figure out where they are as those buildings don’t look like anything along the Chuck. More like Back Bay. Unless they’re running near Memorial Drive which would put them in Cambridge. (Sorry, Bostonian here.)
Anywho, if anyone I was with ever tried to hold my hand while running I’d probably punch them away. Looks uncomfortable.

It’s funny so many are trying to over analyze the picture of them holding hands! They are crossing the street here and there’s probably a ton of paparazzi following them, so I would certainly hope my husband would be holding my hand!

People wouldn’t be so quick to judge if he didn’t have a history of wrist grabbing and pulling her around. TBH, though, who really “enjoys” exercise? I don’t expect her to jog and smile, but she’s does look much more… sad lately.

Its Beacon St in Back Bay a which is a very busy street in Boston. Probably just making sure she gets across safely. Its a street over from the Charles River.

why is he holding her hand while jogging and crossing the street?? Its not like she is a 3 year old. He is VERY dominating and controlling. I think its sad, because its like she can’t think for herself anymore. I would not be ok with my husband treating me like a child like that.

Wow, you folks are mean. Saw these pics somewhere else. He wasn’t always holding her hand. I think he only did it because of the paps. Can you all just imagine how many photogs/fans are around them? Back on topic: I see why she stays so slim….she really seems to take great care of her health.

Ok the holding hands is weird, but agree probably because of the paps. I’ve always like Katie, but don’t like Tom control freak much. She looks ok here, but even I wouldn’t wear those fugly sweatpants out running, yuck.

Tom and Katie always go jogging together. I saw them running in Melbourne a month or so ago — he is very, very short and she is thinner in real life. And no, they were not holding hands.

To me I think this photo is cute-I mean a husband/wife pair jogging together (though the matching outfits may be a little much). The hand holding is very likely because they are crossing a street. Both Katie and Tom look great. I still think Tom is a handsome guy though a bit nutty.
