I’m not seeing any huge weight loss here, she never gained all that much, and seemed to be quite slim right after giving birth. She has prob. lost some since then, but still seems bigger than pre-preggers, she was so teeny-tiny and skinny. Her body looks normal now, not like before but very nice. Her arms seem quite skinny though but maybe that’s her built. But yeah, even if she was 15 lbs heavier it wouldn’t matter to me, i don’t care about losing weight quickly after having a baby.

Ellen looks terrfic. But, I read that throughout her pregnancy she did a lot of walking, hiking, yoga (the kind of yoga for pregnant mommies,etc). In any event she kept up her exercise program. She just gained “baby weight” (sort of like Nicole Richie & just in her tummmy area)…so Ellen’s pre-baby body was thinner to begin with so that undoubtedly has helped her out a GREAT DEAL !! She does look thin for one month. Saw her at some charity event on the E! Channel (a week or so back) & she was wearing a gray dress & she looked thin then ( @ 3 weeks post-baby). You’d never know she had JUST had a baby at the event she was attending.
She was absolutely minute before she was pregnant. She gained a healthy amount of weight (not unlike Nicole Richie) and now she is still at that healthy weight, minus the baby bump. So I don’t really think she has quickly lost all the baby weight. It suits her though. She shouldn’t lose it.

She looks great! I don’t think she gained too much excess weight so she didn’t really have a lot of maternal fat to lose. I think her pregnancy weight gain was just baby and the extra fluids associated with pregnancy. Lucky!

Imo some women in Hollywood appear to loose tons of weight because they start off underweight. I also know some will have labor induced 3 weeks early to prevent the “damage” those last 3 weeks can do. Breastfeeding can burn an extra 500 cals a day….on average.

The comments on Ellen’s post-baby size are frightening to read. I’m assuming most of the posters are young & un-informed. As a healthcare parctitioner, Ellen P. began her pregnancy underweight and is currently very thin even for a petite person. She “kept her large breasts” because she is or was lactating. The overall comments of “she looks great” and “I hope I look this good after giving birth” are idiotic…you gain weight during pregnancy for a reason. I’m sure Ellen’s focus is not about looking like a hot mom, or any other borderline “ano” remark. Usually, having a new life to care for transforms women into being altruistic. But, not always.

wenidog, how do you know that this isn’t Ellen’s natural weight? Some people are just really thin. Also, just because somebody wants to be thin doesn’t mean they are ‘ano’ as you put it.

i suspect pompeo smokes like a train, and probably was closet SMOKER throughout her pregnancy. you can hear it in her voice, see it in her skin. she looks far older than her age, despite filler and who knows what. i know it’s hard to believe any woman w/intelligence would do so….

That is so crazy! Did she have a pillow on for the last nine months and just pull it out? She looks ridiculously back in shape. No way.
No wonder though, if she is hanging with skinny friends like the one in that last picture, I am sure she feels pressure to thin up…and fast.
I think her cheeks looks strangely bloated…that was the first thing that struck me and it suprised me that no one else noticed it.
Her frame is very small and I’m sure she was occupied very hard during pregnancy with nog gaining too much. I think she’s too thin and it doesn’t make her prettyer, in fact I don’t think she is pretty, she mostly looks sad and tired and…indeed a bit older than she is in fact.

breastfeeding my daughter left me weighing less than I did before pregnancy and that only took a few months…no dieting or exercising on my part. I bet she’s breastfeeding, hence the large droopy boobs, and she’s probably working out too.
