That’s odd. I saw pics of her at Heathrow just last week and she looked even thinner than this.
Maybe it’s just water retention from the travelling, but her face and upper body seems to fluctuate a lot in roundess.

I think she looks fine. She’s 29 or so now. Her metabolism has changed since the newly wed days. Whichever way you look at her she is a consistantly beautiful woman.
She looked slimmer in the last post. It must be the outfit, the camera angles and the lighting. Here, face looks round and her arms look puffy.
Well I happen to think she looks nice! She does look a little slimmer, but that isn’t the reason – I just think she is a beautiful woman full stop.

I think that Jessica looks a tad bit thinner. Saw her in this dress on TV & she looked thinner (on TV) and we ALL know that TV cameras add extra lbs. She made some comments about how she was raised to be self-confident and that even if/when she “falls down” (in life); she picks herself back up and goes on. Yes, Rian, I agree that she does look a bit thinner; and RIAN…hope you are feeling better.
She looks way too chunky and manly, and YET she’s still the prettier Simpson.
She loogs good, but she doesn’t look confortable in this weight.
Maybe she’s actually unhappy with her outfit, wich does not flatter her.
I think she looks uncomfortable but beautiful. I usually don’t think this, but she looks better just a little thinner.
A sack of potatoes comes to mind when i see this photographs, unflattering outfit for her body, pretty face but she should learn to dress her body type.
I think she would look small in person. The camera angles are not very accurate in photos.

Beautiful girl, and I think it is HORRIBLE what the media has done to her – especially that ridiculous Fox Sports skit about her being “fat.” I hope she stays healthy and true to herself.
yeah she looks heavier here than in recent posts. its hard for this chick to lose it and maintain.
I hope she will resist the Hollywood pressure to mess with her face, because I think that she looks gorgeous as she is. Finally, someone with a natural looking nose.
She looks okay, but not the sensational beauty we once knew. And telling from these pictures she knows it too. I agree that she looks very uncomfortable. I’ve always liked her, but you can tell she’s sad. She’ll have a comeback…

I don’t like her face when she’s a bit heavier. I like it slimmer. BuT maybe it’s the eyeliner. I think she needs to tone down on that, lol.
The curtain appears to be coming down on Jessica IMO. Plenty more pretty thin blondes to take her place.

this is going to be really harsh, so preemptive apology if what you wrote was not what you meant. MScotton, i think that’s an obnoxious comment. if she feels comfortable at that weight, then why shouldn’t she be so lucky as to be a modern woman with good body image? that would be great for her because she would be so much happier. to me, happiness is so much more important than looking a certain way, even if you’re a celebrity or model. it’s not like she’s morbidly obese!!! you’re right, i think she probably does not feel comfortable at this weight, but maybe she “should.” i’m pretty sure that unless your weight is giving you health problems, happiness doesn’t really correlate with getting skinnier against your body’s will… if you think that, might be time to reassess your own priorities and see if they’re making you happy.
She still looks heavy to me. A good 20lb weight loss would do her some good. But she’s had a rough year, so maybe when she gets her mental back on track her physical will catch up.
Definitely looks like she gained. Still gorgeous though, and I love the dress.

I don’t think she looks thinner at all! She’s definitely on the heavy side of her weight range. If anything, we’ll see articles about “Jessica’s Weight Struggle!”
So puffy, yikes. I think we’ve seen the last of Jessica as a thin girl.

the weight really ages her… she could stand to lose 10-15 pounds. i don’t think this is a healthy weight for her… chubby or not.

She is one of the few women I think looks a lot better withOUT makeup. Whenever she is photographed sans makeup, she looks so beautiful. There’s just too much of it going on in these pics, IMO.
I disagree about it being an unflattering dress- I think it’s super flattering. It’s black, nips in at the waist, minimizes her boobs, doesn’t show any side boob/fat, and is cut just above the knee, which is ideal for a petite person. Whoever dressed her definitely knew what they were doing.
She has a short thick Britney Spears type neck. And her arms are getting right up there with Hilary Duff. She should really try to lose and tone back up like in her Daisy Duke days.

I think she could get down to her pre-marriage weight if she tried, but I don’t think she is trying at all. Good for her if she wants to be fat but I don’t find it appealing.

Horrible neck line for her! A vee would be much flattering. Why doesn’t she hire someone to dress her? She has made some appalling wardrobe choices that only accentuate her flaws and make her an easy target for the media.
Who on earth picks her clothes? This might look ok, but not for camera. When will she ever learn? And, umm… her smile looks more forced than usual, she looks great without it.

her arms look thicker..her neck is also thick. she definitely looks heavier to me. i think 5 lbs on her frame makes a huge difference since she is short. and i agree, this dress is one of the worst i have seen!!
She needs a new stylist. All the clothes she wears are unflattering to her body type. She is having some weight issues right now but if she just dressed in different cuts, she could make herself look just as cute as when she was thinner.
I think its great that despite all the horrible backlash she has gotten from the media, she did not go and starve herself skinny. She didn’t let all the crap about her being fat get her down, and hurt her self esteem. I think she is beautiful, and though I’ve never been a huge fan of hers, I like her now more then I used to. I respect her for being stronger than Hollywood’s skinny obsession.

As for the “shrewd businesswoman” remark, Jessica Simpson – like a lot of others in the entertainment industry posing as designers – is merely the face of a brand of clothes & accessories that are already manufactured before she gets a final stamp of approval. You will find that everyone else who is the face of a brand of clothing they have nothing to do with designing insists they are “very much a part of every step of the process” as well. The difference between the brand Jessica Simpson is the face of & others is that hers is marketed heavily, & is available at more vendors like Victoria’s Secret, Nordstrom, and Macy’s. Plus, frankly, the pedestrian messes look up to her & want to emulate what they think she wears.
The only person who I buy designing her own clothing (i.e., actually doing sketches & designs rather than merely the very final signoff of a completely finished product) is JENNIFER LOPEZ.
Jessica has such a beautiful face. Although you can tell by her expression she is not happy with her body image and I don’t blame her. She used to be the hottest blonde on TV. As someone said in their post “I think we have seen the last of skinny Jessica.” I totally agree…..but I do feel bad for her.
does anyone remember seeing her on the vmas a few years before the newlyweds? she was this size then. she’s a fluctuater. with long pauses between her fluctuations. either way, she’s a beauty.
Everyone says she is wearing unflattering outfits.. At what point will it be safe to say it has nothing to do with her clothes? It just gets silly after a while..

Does anyone know what eyeliner Jessica uses? It never seems to smudge or run, and stays put so beautifully! She is def heavier than she was when she was on Newlyweds, but she will always be beautiful.
I think she looks awesome. She could use some toning in the arms area, but her body looks great and face is beautiful!
It is very simple that she is not content with her weight.. She dresses for it. She generally wears drapes, and other things to cover her body up. If she were content with her weight, she wouldn’t hide it all the time she can.
I wish the dress had a better cut around the arms. She would look so much better. Still very pretty.
