She looks pretty good weight-wise – healthy and slim – but those pants are just not very flattering!

hmm, possibly gained. Those pants really are that not flattering on the thigh.
She looks heavy in the lower half IMO. Could be the style of jeans, or may be it’s the shape of her legs.

Agree- those pants are horrible? Why is she accenting the negative while totally ignoring the positive(thin waist, pretty neckline) by wearing that sweater? Pity because she can look lovely._
Katie Holmes has always been pear-shaped, even when she is really skinny, she has big thighs. I think given that, she looks great. Horrible clothes, though.
I don’t know. I think the jeans are ok. Well way better than those baggy rolled up jeans she’s worn before.
I think she needs some help the the whole dressing herself and fixing her hair. I like her, but she always looks so frumpy.

motocross jeans with an argyle sweater are kind of a weird pairing.
She’d look a lot slimmer if she was simply wearing a v neck shirt. Would balance out the pants better than a high crewneck on her body type.

This is the worst outfit combo ever. She tries to wear trendy pieces and it just never looks right on her. Money can’t buy style.
Ummm leave the skinny jeans with Lindsay Lohan and leave your argyle sweater with your husband.

Agree – she’s lucky to have such a nice pear shape i’d be all over the wide trouerss, flared skirts and form fitted, revealing tops if I were her. But no, she wears skinnies and square jumpers as if she’s apple shaped like me. Pfff.
She’s from my hometown, I have never cared for her look or personality.
I’m just grateful she finally looks to be growing out her hair!

I looove argyle. I’m such a dork ^_^. Now that argyle has been fashionable I can wear it without looking nerdy…I don’t like her jeans though, they do look a little odd with that sweater. She doesn’t have great legs but she’s pretty.
I think she has made a looot worse clothing decisions, so this is not that bad, but of course she could always do better.
Arent’t her jeans those super expensive Balmain ones? Or was it Lanvin? Even If I were loaded I wouldn’t pay such ridiculous amounts of money on jeans, but I guess she’s kinda used to splashing out on fashion. On topic, I think weight-wise she looks healthier, she used to look gaunt and tired a while ago, so this is improvement. And I’ve always really liked her shiny brunette hair. Guess I’m all about pretty hair today
I just re-read the comments and I gotta say, even though she is pear-shaped, her legs are nowhere near ‘huge’. Some people commenting here are frickin delusional.
Katie looks slim here. At least she isn’t hanging out w/Posh (Victoria Beckham) & going out to lunch for lettuce and green tea, etc! (Ha-Ha). Posh taught her some severe dieting tips …Katie even cut her long hair into V.B.’s style back at the time which was that bob look. (Before V.B. went to her extremely short haircut.) This look/outfit is not entirely flattering…but it is MORE FLATTERING than the frumpy look she’s been seen wearing in Boston lately. OR those boyfriend jeans that are rolled up on her legs. She carries her lbs in her lower half…her upper legs & thighs EVEN WHEN Katie was extremely thin awhile back…her legs were/are always heavier.
She has one of my favourite YSL bag, but the jeans, the jumper, just wrong, skinny jeans are for skinny legs, and those Current/Elliott denim are for super skinny legs, so, once again, she just doesn’t get it.

she is pretty, tall & slim but out of proportion with a small chest & big thighs. knowing that, she should dress for her figure. with her money, why doesn’t she get a stylist?

She’s a slim girl but her upper body and shoulders look too small for her lower body so she can look bottom heavy in certain outfits.
her hair needs help, she doesnt even comb it half the time. And horrible outfits, she must have fired her stylist.

This girl has gone from bad to worse since hooking up with her husband. She always looks exhausted, frumpy and washed out. Poor thing.

I get so depressed when I see her. She always looks so awful. I just remember how vibrant and beautiful and alive she used to look before she met Tom… now she looks so vacant and hallow, and sickly. She just seems to be putting on a front of, oh I’m so happy with my husband and child, really! But its so obvious how miserable she is.

Well, we’ve seen Katie wearing strange combinations many times. I guess she’s just not that good at matching clothes. Or she has a sense of style that we don’t get. Or she’s heavily depressed for being married to Tom Cruise. I think there is nothing wrong with her body; considering her body type, she looks just fine.
