Don’t know if it’s just the black (yes, and the covered arms) but she looks to have lost a bit. She looks good but I will be glad when those ankle boot/shoe things go away, not flattering on anyone.

She needs to stop gaining….she’s one donut away from being fat Lizzy Mcguire again. It’s sad that all her hard work to lose the weight has been flushed down the drain. She needs to lose 8-10 lbs over a gradual time period and maintain it. None of this Lindsay Lohan weight fluctuation BS . She is pretty and could be such a gorgeous girl with the extra weight off.
People if she looks like average 20 years old girl it means average 20 years old girls have to go to the gym or their health will be in a danger soon.
It would do her some good to lose 10lbs. It’s sad because she looked soo good when she started losing weight but she took it too far. I’m glad she’s getting healthy, but she is an actress and needs to keep her figure slim. I hope she can lose weight and maintain because she has a pretty face and could be such a gorgeous girl.
yikes, she has really ballooned up recently…and perhaps its been a healthy gain but I think she looks much better at a lower weight. and i don’t agree about her face — in the GG episode her neck looked thick and her face looked puffy. looks a lot like she did in the lizzie mcguire days.
it’s not that she necessarily needs to lose a few pounds – she just needs to start working out a little bit (weight traning, yoga, anything) to get some tone.
I’m not a fan of her as an actress usually, but last night she did much better than I anticipated. I think she looks great with a little more weight on her. Sure, if she lost 10 pounds she would look even more amazing, but right now the weight’s working for her.

this girl has been through so many changes and has finally found a size thats natural and gorgeous on her. she looks healthier and happier than ever before, and THAT is the real key to beauty, and everyone who feels otherwise, seriously, pop off.
I seriously think she looks good and healthy weight wise. I think everyone considers her “Chunky” because we are used to seeing Celebrities look like Tori Spelling or Paris Hilton.

no she’s clearly not stick thin but she doesn’t need to lose weight. Considering 2/3 of america is medically overweight she is doing just fine.. Her bmi is most likely 22 or something which is NORMAL WEIGHT.

she’s always been pretty. and never too thin. i think her bmi is average, about 21 or 22. she’s not chunky or overweight at all, but looks like she doesn’t obsess over exercise or diet too much. good for her. though i can’t say much for her acting-she’s just not a good actress, period.

Given that Taylor Momsen is the only thin lead female on the show, I don’t think Hilary’s weight is that noticeable. Plus, Hilary’s upper body is no bigger than Michelle T’s lower body. Not sure though why that had Hillary in so many sleeveless tops last night if they’re worried about her weight!?
She did look terrible in the face when she was too thin. She’s heavier now, but it wouldn’t look so bad if they would just dress her for her body type! It can’t be that difficult to make a normal body look good! Then again, they can’t even make Blake’s tall, slender body look good, so…time for new costume dept on GG!

I think she has a gorgeous face regardless of her weight, and I like her outfit…it’s trendy. I think her body looks fine, and if she is comfortable with it, thats great…although I would not be comfortable at that size. But yes, I think she looked awsome (face and weight wise) after she gained back some of the weight she lost and was all over magazines (even Shape Magazine). Afterwards, I bet she just didn’t care to have that kind of body.

I just came across some pictures of Lindsay Lohan at a party in Paris, she looks thin, but strung-out and closer to 40 than 20. At least Hillary is healthy, working, and looks her age.
cute!! i liked her last night but i couldn’t stop staring at her arms and bad posture. when she went to the “premiere” she looked really uncomfortable in her dress (which was the same one miley cyrus wore to the AMA’s and definitely looked better than hilary).

Her BMI is most certainly not around 21 or 22, but probably around 24-25. I have many friends with the same body type and they are all around there. It is healthy, so it’s OK, but she is not thin.

i think she is normal for the average world but in the acting world she is considered “chunky” i think she looks great and a good example of dressing for her body type in these pics. this outfit makes her look good. Although im ashamed to admit i kind of liked her better back when she was on teh cover of shape and was thin but not too thin. ANYWAY kudos to her for not giving in too super thiness!!!
I hope she’s just visiting the show!! Because I watched monday’s episode and it would been great but Hilary ruined it. She just can’t act and she don’t fit into GG.
And about her weight..she’s big. She could be the new Bridget Jones. I think her BMI is around 25, which is overweight.

I would also guess her BMI to be around 24-25 which is not overweight. It’s normal. But it looks big compared to most of Hollywood who stand closer to 20-21 and that’s if they’re in the normal healthy range at all.
She has a beautiful face and I think she looks good apart from the ankle boots. Who’s legs are going to look good in a super short skirt and ankle boots?!
I don’t know how tall she is, but say she’s 5′2″, she’d have to weigh about 135lb+ to be considered medically overweight (even though BMI is only one variable of so many). In any case, I think she would look HUGE on screen (by celeb standards) if she weighed that much on a short frame.
She certainly does not look thin–but she’s far from huge!
She looks chunky to me too.. but I think it’s just her proportions that give that impression, and the outfit. I’m not really looking forward to seeing her on GG when it finally screens here. On a positive note, she does have a pretty face.
i can understand her come on girls all of us should be able to feel her. we are human and we eat and we gain weight. we are not some robots who are programmed to control themselves. btw she looks great with her curves.

@ aoife…agree w/you…Hilary does look stunning in these pics. This particular outfit is flattering on her. Think that Hilary lost a couple of lbs before appearing in G.G. I, too, liked Hilary when she was on the cover of that SHAPE Magazine a year or so back. She is just a few lbs more than that now (IMO). Thing is, she is currently happy/confident with herself & her body & that is what’s truly IMPORTANT. She is NOT like LiLo who is constantly losing / gaining weight. Hilary is so pretty & has gorgeous face. LiLo is in her losing phase now & I agree w/someone who posted…she looks more like 40 than 23. We need more young women like Hilary & Rachel Weisz (who are NOT pin thin) to focus on rather than some of these girls who look like they’d keel over if someone coughed on them.

there was not a malicious or “vile”, as you so put it, bone in my post’s body…so i’m a bit confused as to why you’ve reacted as such. i simply noted that the way she looks now is, in some ways, reminiscent of the way she looked back on that show — it’s no different than saying demi moore looks like she did back in her college years. PURELY A PHYSICAL COMPARISON, nothing more. if that somehow offends you, well then.. i apologize. you must not have read some many of the posts on this site that are far more harmful than mine.

Hilary has a similar body type to mine and is almost the same height, her body looks how i looked at BMI 21-23.. I can’t believe some are saying she’s BMI 24-25, borderline obese! I’ve never been over 23 and i think i’ve looked a lot bigger than Hilary. But maybe it’s just hard for me to judge from the pics. I think she looks great, and very pretty. And it doesn’t matter if her BMI would be 25, i just find it hard to believe it would be..

Regardless of what she looks like underneath, that outfit makes her look like she’s lost 10 pounds compared to the last time I saw her. It’s really noticeable in her face.
I am sorry to say that Hilary Duff looked fat on Gossip Girl Monday night. Her arms were sausages and there was even a lump around her midsection. How can they let that go on?
I agree with Ashley, we might not all love the outfit but it makes her look a lot more slender. Which is what black does, of course, it’s nice that the wardrobe people finally caught on to that.
Thank goodness they covered her up more this time. The TV is not forgiving and the outfits they have been putting her in have really been almost embarrassing. Shes so beautiful, but she couldn’t really pull them off..

Her body is fine. Not everyone is or should be a size 0. Not everyone wants to eat cardboard flakes 5 to 6 times a day so they can look lean and ripped. Unless you are her personal physician you have no idea if she’s healthy or not.

lol. check your facts before you talk, hun. BMI 24 – 25 is borderline overweight, not borderline obese. Obesity starts at BMI 30.
She looks gorgeous! Probably about 140 – 145 lbs. She looks to be at least a size 9 depending on the brand of clothing. She is amazing, I think she is one of the industry’s most beautiful and classy actresses!! LOVE HER!! Perfection!
