It’s a myth that you have to bloat up when you’re pregnant, gaining huge amounts of weight is certainly not healthy for you. You’re supposed to gain b/t 25-35lbs., PERIOD. If women use pregnancy as an excuse to eat above and beyond this it’s their own problem, and not in the interest of the baby’s health.

you know what is interesting… actually most of the time she looks as unhappy as Jessica Alba does on her pics, but because it’s Gisele no one complains about that. Otherwise I agree, she’s a great body even being pregnant, but her hair looks horrible.
How do these women do it? I looked like a beached whale while she’s stunning all through her pregnancy!

she looks great, and she’s lucky. Even if you strictly control your calories (and salt intake), you can still gain water weight in the last couple of months and bloat up a bit everywhere. Not that I wish that on her LOL.

I agree Maxx05 — there is no reason to put on body fat when you are pregnant. She is obviously a very healthy, fit woman and naturally thin.
True……there is no good reason to gain more than 30 pounds! Except….the list of daily foods that the Dr.s give would make anyone gain more than 30 pounds. I have 2 kids and gained less than 30 pounds with each one…..and I ate more than plenty.
I think her hair looks bad because her roots have grown out and she doesn’t want to highlight it while she’s pregnant ( some studies have shown it increases cancer risk). I knew she would look fabulous pregnant. I wish women felt better about themselves while they’re pregnant. We’re far too hard on ourselves and others.

She looks fabulous – good for her! I have never been the biggest Gisele fan, but she looks amazing preggo! And yes, it is possible to be preggo & healthy and not be a whale. I only gained 19 lbs and had a beautiful, healthy 8 lb girl! Everyone’s body is different in that way too!
It also helps if you are in shape when you get pregnant. It’s much easier to regain your body if your diet and exercise regime are in check before, during, and after your pregnancy. I don’t know if Gisele DOESN’T follow that model starvation diet, but if you are healthy and fit than having a kid shouldn’t shoot your body to hell.

Her legs look awesome! I agree the weirdo in the background is creeeeeepy!Hard to believe shes due in december! My mom gained 60lbs with me and i came out only 5lbs, My aunt gained 20lbs and had a healthy baby too tho, i guess every woman is different.

I am due 2 weeks later than Gisele and have gained about 20 pounds so far. I can tell you that I am eating very healthy, am exercising and am considered right on track. A body while being pregnant will gain whatever it feels needed. For some woman it is a total gain of 25 pounds, for some it will be 50. Some woman do not eat much and will still gain a lot.
For Giselle, I think she gained about 15 pounds so far. Which really is on the low side for her. She is 7 months pregnant now. But again, she has always been thin (and being healthy) , so her body was not likely to gain a lot during pregnancy.

Gisele is lucky…she looks to be gaining only in her tummy area. Her legs (from what I can tell) still look fit/toned. She looks pretty great @ 8 months along. Bet that her daughter (she said she’s having a girl) will be cute. Gisele was ‘in shape’ and so forth before becoming preggers & seems to be out and about … walking a lot so she will probably be more skinny after her baby than before. Have to agree with another poster…she does have the Jessica Alba (facial) expression …like she hates all the weight she is gaining.
Like Nicole Kidman, Gisele is a freak of nature. She’ll bounce back to bikini figure in a couple of weeks after delivering. Otherwise, yours truly will be $50 short

I’m as far along as her and don’t look this cute, not fair. I’m only 5′1″ so I’m just short and round at the moment. A 20lbs+ baby weight gain definitely looks different on her. She’ll bounce back to that supermodel body within 2 weeks too I’m sure. She’ll definitely be a hot mama.
She is absolutely beautiful! I love Gisele. With the handsome Tom Brady as the dad, her baby is bound to be gorgeous.
I do not agree about her hair being ugly. It looks obvious that she has stoped with the colouring/ hair tints, and that’s because of the baby! And all of those mamies to be that dyes her hair are putting her babies into risk, ’cause it’s just TOXIC!
She looks great. She looks like she has gained enough weight to me. Like it has been said, not everyone looks the same when they get pregnant and if you are healthy prior to getting pregnant, there is no need to put on body fat.

My doctor said really, woman are only supposed to gain the weight of the baby (around 12lbs max) + the boob weight (5lbs prob)…. really a lot of woman just eat a lot when they are pregnant, when really you just need a little extra. The truth is your body should only change in the tummy, maybe a little the thighs and boobs.
Gisele seems about right. Keepin healthy!
