wow she looks really lovely IMHO and I’m not normally a fan. I like the dress and she yes she is thin, but not too thin.

I don’t think she is too thin. I suppose this is just what she looks like caus she has always been a very skinny person. I think I remember reading an article about her eating habits and she only eats helathy stuff. No sweets or anything unhealthy.
No, I think she’s just this body type. Maybe it’s not as facially flattering as she gets older, and an extra five pounds couldn’t hurt. I think she’s lovely, just she should get those bangs out of her eyes!

I think she is too thin. Yes, I understand as a model she has always been skinny but at her age it does not do her good. It’s okay for models to be ultra skinny when they are in their 20’s but Schiffer is pushing 40 and a few extra pounds would fill her face in a little bit and make her look younger and less hollow

The lower half of her face just looks weird to me. From the mouth down it’s really wonky looking. And that dress is just one big hot mess.
Her face looks a bit longer the thinner she gets. Maybe that’s just what I see. Overall she is looking lovely.

I think she’s getting to the age where she could use a few more pounds. But truthfully I never saw her appeal. I don’t think she’s attractive at all. Must be a model thing I think Gisele is kind of icky too.
I think her body looks great, but I just wonder if she eats enough since a lot of women have a harder time staying skinny as they get older. I like her body better than Elle’s aka The Body.

After a certain age, it’s better to not be that thin because you kind of look like a raisin. She’s a beautiful girl but she doesn’t have that same glow a younger model would have of that weight…if that makes sense. Not dissing her intentionally I promise!

I would definitely say that she’s borderline “too” thin, but it looks good on her minus the effect on her face. For someone who is 39, her face looks much, much older.

The weird thing is, she hasn’t been this thin when her career was in full swing and she looked loads better then, now all I can see is skinny and gaunt. I don’t know why she feels she has to be so thin…

I agree w/darling24’s comments. After a certain age, if she continues to stay so (VERY BORDERLINE) TOO THIN, it is not becoming. I understand that she is tall/ (5′10″-ish)…but regardless another 5 to 8 or 10 lbs would do wonders for her overall “looks”! (IF) Claudia is still modeling then I suppose that is WHY she is keeping herself a bit too thin. (Not scary skinny territory QUITE YET, though)! Her face does look gaun/skeletal & her head is beginning to look too big for her body. (Bobbble head!) Didn’t think she was always “naturally skinny”. In her earlier modeling days, she was “model thin” for her age BUT did NOT seem as thin as she is now. Yeah, darling24; she is on her way to acquiring that “raisin (face) look”. Maybe she is trying to go for the Rachel Zoe look ???

O.T….btw…if she is 39 …that’s the same age as Kelly Ripa. Kelly looks waaay to thin on TV so I can only imagine how teeny tiny thin she is in person! Will be interesting to see Kelly as she gets into her 40’s (if she stays on Live With Regis & Kelly that long…Reege is 78 years old, so who knows). As women get into 40 years+…metabolism shifts. However, Kelly will probably just amp up her (EXCESSIVE) exercise (bulimia…which I think she definitely has) & cut back on her ALREADY restricted, rigid eating. It’ll be interesting to see Kelly as she hits her 40’s & see if her metabolism adds a few extra lbs. Sorry to go off topic, RIAN and my fellow posters.

She is still attractive but the “bloom is off her rose.” She was ridiculously gorgeous in her twenties. Her face looks older now- her youthful baby fat/roundness/glow is going going. Oh well…she still looks very good!

this is unrelated to this post…but lindsay lohan has been gaining more and more weight the past couple days…like super noticeably, quickly and probably super unhealthily. i know everyone wants her to gain weight but i know she should not do so through emotional binges

I envision a makeover session with Ty shouting “Hairstylist, cut a bob!”. I find that bangs like these are not very becoming with long hair. Never been a great fan of Claudia’s anyway. For some reason “inanimated” always comes to mind.

I think if she was like 25 or younger i would say shes borderline but considering shes 39 i would say shes needs to gain. Not only to be healthy but she would look better and younger. When older women get soo thin they actually look older. I mean Teri Hatcher put on weight and she looks younger. I think it also doesnt help that Claudia has a natually really long, thin face so since she weighs so little it makes her face look even thinner. Off topic: her hair looks like a wig!

Bumbleg- i agree- i NEVER saw her appeal. sometimes she would look good all made up and airbrushed but even then she was pushing it. same with gieselle and most models really. i never liked models til i cam eon this site! i always used to think their faces were bleh…also claudia doesnt seem like the nicest person from the interviews i have seen/ read

I think her body looks great, I don’t think *that* looks to thin. However, I agree completely with older posts. If she gained a few pounds, her face might look less gaunt.
I can’t really tell in that dress. Her arms are very thin and her face looks…different? But her legs (even in black tights and black slims) look okay and thin sure but fairly normal.

on claudia – she seems the same to me but the dress throws me off a little. remember the pictures of her in jeans and normal clothes? she looks really skinny then, especially with normal sized people around her.

Her arms are like sticks. I don’t know if she just has one of those bodies..but imo that indicates someone is too thin.
She will always be pretty and lovely and no one can take that from her. I think in 25 years, she will still be pretty. She does, however, seem underweight and deficient of fatty acids. I don’t know…but seems to look that way. She looks like she needs a rest.

Claudia is a model, and it’s her job to be and remain A LOT thinner than the average woman.
So yes, she is too thin, but that’s normal, she’s paid for it.
She looks good for her age, I think she is this thin because of work + kids + getting chased by people to take her picture, that has to be pretty stressful, so maybe she just doesn’t eat that much. Well, obviously she doesn’t eat that much to be that size.
I have never understood her appeal, but then again, to each their own, right?
