Since her Titanic days, Kate has often looked gorgeous, slim and healthy and hasn’t given into the ‘Hollywood stick figure’ trend. That said, however, it looks like she may have gained some weight in recent months?

She might have put on a bit of weight – but regardless, I think she still looks BEAUTIFUL and is such a good role model! She used t have severe anorexia before Titanic, so good for her for being so healthy now

She looks good. She may have gained 5-10 lbs. would be my guess, but at her age I actually think the weight gain only softens her facial features making her even more beautiful.
It could just be the dress playing tricks on us though. It only shows her arms, which might be a problem area for her.

Love Kate, she is a very talented actress, but she is one of the most boring actresses to walk the red carpet, and yet again she has proved it wearing this, this is not a red carpet look.
I love that she never gave into the pressure to be skinny.

She is a great actress and it takes strength not to give in to the Hollywood skinny trend but I don’t envy her body even though I do envy her talent.
She always tends to pick flattering dresses though and this is no different.
oh, i watched the award ceremony on tv last night! (i live in germany). she looked really gorgeous, a lot skinny than this during the whole evening! strange. probably the 10lbs on a foto effect.
She looks amazing, beautiful and gorgeous. She is a stunning beauty and her weight is irrelevant to me.
She’s British – a normal woman who doesn’t care how tanned she is or what numbers she sees on the scales.

I prefer her on screen. She’s attractive but I don’t envy that figure. Clearly she has bigger priorities than being skinny.

Umm I thought she was pretty in Titanic but every since then not so much.
She is one of those people that seems very nice and is a very good actress and good person but she will never be someone I think has a great body, or would aspire to emulate. She’s pretty but you can tell she will always strugggle with weight, and not very successfully I might add.

I think Kate has a great body and hasn’t conformed and for that I like her even more! I quite like the top of the dress but it looks like it should have a more interesting back but we can’t see that.

I love her acting. I think she was prettiest in her Titanic days, the red hair really suited her.
Body wise she looks healthy, doesn’t need to change a thing.

First off: LOVE KATE WINSLET! Talent and class all the way.
She def dropped lots o’weight during last year’s Oscar push. Never thought she’d be able to maintain that. But it’s not like she’s overweight. She’s just a size or two larger than most of the skinnie-minnies we’re used to seeing.
You know, it has to be hard to balance the whole “I’m a serious actress, and I don’t worry about my weight” line with the fact that she’s often cast in roles that revolve around her looks (i.e. Marianne Dashwood).

I know, black is slimming, but the dress is really boring, regardless. I’ll always love Kate Winslet, though, can do no wrong in my eyes.

Im glad she has not given in to the too thin fad of hollywood and she has beautiful hair. Other than that though, shes not that great imo. I find her face to be manly and for some reason she looks older than 34. It doesnt help that lately all ive seen her in is boring black gowns. But i am glad to see a curvy body on the red carpet.

she is just made to have an hourglass body. I just love her because she is such a good actress. did anyone see “the reader”? i think she was really brave to embody a person who is ageing so much throughout the movie. she does not choose her movie roles only according to the question: will i look good in this movie? but according to whether she finds the projects interesting. i find this so admirable!
haha the kid behind her is actually a child actor. i saw him on tv recently, he is just so cute!
She is pretty darn tiny – leaner than “average”. And like most women who include pilates to their workouts, yes, she has very strong shoulders and it shows. I think that looks nice.

These photographs are really misleading. She looks fantastic! The only reason she looks larger is because everyone is wearing black and it’s all running together, plus the shadows aren’t helping the situation either. Her face and arms show no recent weight gain.
Yes she has gained some weight but looks AMAZING AND BEAUTIFUL as always, she has such a classic beauty, i LOVE HER!!!!!!
She has definitely gained weight since the Oscars, which is very understandable. I think that her face looks better now — like Cate Blanchett, Winslet has strong bone structure and her face can look quite harsh and manly when she is leaner. And I agree, she does look older than 34 because she smokes like a chimney.

She’s 34….a little weight gain is natural and to be expected, especially compared to her Titanic days. I think she carries it very well! She still has a waist!

Great actress, great body but oh, why does she have to dress so safe meaning too boring, too old, too darn dark blue as usual? I’d love to stick her into something more vivacious, more colourful, more experimental. That dress is a dress for my grandmother but not something for a woman who isn’t even 35 yet!
