This is like on America’s Next Top Model when Tyra takes a girl with pretty, long brown hair & chops it off and bleaches it. She thinks it makes the girls look more “edgy,” but really it ages them 20 years. This chick totally thought the same because although she’s pretty, anyone who watched Idol knows she’s as bland as oatmeal.
She looks ok as a blond, but much better with dark hair. The dress is cheap looking and the shoes look like a pair of Chinese Laundry left over clearance wedges from summer—NOT GOOD!!!

What a fabulous dress. I love the black belt-like straps around the back. Her rack looks fantastic! Don’t care too much for the blonde hair, but it certainly doesn’t detract from her beauty.

If I had naturally beautiful dark hair I would cherish it and never consider bleaching the life out of it, but on the other hand, it’s just hair, it will grow back in it’s natural color anyway, so let her have some fun.
Btw, I don’t agree that Anna Paquin looks great with the yellow blond hair, but her complexion is much lighter than Katharine’s so the contrast is not so harsh.

I think she looks ok with blonde hair but I’m wondering if it’s just the flash that is making her look so washed out or if her face really is that pale. Her face looks ghostly white while the rest of her body looks normal.

She looks on the verge of becoming too thin – her clavicle looks like it is straining against her skin. And I feel like I can see the faint outline of her ribs in her chest, but it might just be odd lighting. Either way, to me this does not look like a healthy weight for her.

I’m not sure who this woman is so have never seen her brunette as some of your posts have said so I have nothing to compare to but I think she is rocking the platinum blonde hair, I like that it short and messy and seems to make her skin glow.

Liked Katharine better with her long dark hair…she really rocked it. She has had it blonde & chopped short(er) for a while now. She put out a (newer) CD a couple monhs back & wanted a different look (or so she claimed) when she went blonde & chopped her beautiful brunette locks off. She is looking thinner than her American Idol days. This dress is beautiful BUT it conceals her “thinness”! Those collar bones & shoulder blades are (dead) give-aways of her having lost some additional weight.

What is wrong with the blonde? I think it makes her skin look radiant. Her weight I cannot really comment on because I’m not too sure what she used to look like and plus that dress is hiding a lot. But I think she looks good.
She’s so beautiful, but (imo) the blond makes her look…common. It’s too bad (again, only imo) that she didn’t start with some light highlights before jumping right in to the extreme blond.

She is absolutely stunning, beautiful figure, gorgeous dress. Yes, she is better as a brunette, but the blonde turned out pretty good considering how dark she was before. Usually blonde turns out brassy, but hers is a nice color.

Taking exception to the ridiculous notion expressed here that Katherine now looks like every girl in Hollywood.
Especially when with only a few exceptions every girl in Hollywood looks as if their still trying to look like Jennifer Aniston. Long overly layered brunette or long layered with blonde hair or extensions and maybe foil highlights.
Katherine has at least stepped out of her comfort zone and done something to stand out. That takes real beauty as well as guts and you gotta love that in a woman. Especially one that looks as hot as she does.
