I think it is great personally that Victoria Secrets has taken the turn into both curvy and thinner models. It really gives them more diversity. Not all women have the ‘playboy’ body and overall it adds both more selection to their clothing lines and attracts more customers. Believe it or not, there are thin women out there too.

I feel like it makes more sense to have someone who is still thin, and attractive but slightly more average looking. I feel like most women look at them and sigh. It should be a woman looks at them and goes “wow they look good, and their body is similar to mine so I would look good too”.most people dont have time or money to work out and diet as hard as they do. they are trying to sell a product but no one can even compare themselves to these girls bc its just so unrealistic, even for someone who considerers themselves to be thin. The only women who look like these are well… each other. They are all beautiful and fit but taking it a few steps too far in my opinion..

The VS models are really disappointing me lately. They are underwear models- they are supposed to have curves to show off these garments. They aren’t catwalk models that need to look like hangers to show off cotoure. I don’t understand why VS changed their winning formula.
what is it going to take for someone to do something about this? Miranda Kerr looks like she’s about to die. I’m pretty sure she’s going to die very young.

They`re all gorgeous and I strive to have hair like that every day ! Marisa Miller does look a bit old though. I think her low weight ages her. Alessandra looks gorgeous at her weight. She doesn`t look scary skinny. Although she did just have a baby. And Miranda`s arms look a little too skinny.

Watching the old shows used to leave me feeling really positive and with an urge to exercise more, it’s lucky that I’m sane because these pictures are more likely to give people the urge to throw up their last meal! This isn’t representative of real women. At least their old bodies were somewhat attainable.

Marissa Miller’s body is the hottest but she lost too much weight lately. Where are the curves these models are known for? Now, they look boring and sickly skinny. BTW the show was very disappointing this year

I always thought underwear models were supposed to be curvy – but the VS women seem to be thinner than fashion models – and I do not find it attractive.
Apart from Alessandra, who seems to pull it off, the rest just look waaay too skinny. Miranda especially annoys me since she goes on about having studied nutrition, and she eats healthily but carefully, well this is evidently not true anymore! Can’t imagine what they must look like in person, as people often say when they see a celebrity IRL that they were so much smaller than in photos/film. Has anybody ever seen one of these girls?
VS models have always been more curvy. Someone in the comments said that them being skinnier is good because it shows more diversity, but I disagree because we already have so many very skinny models in the modeling industry (high fashion).

I LOVE Alessandra’s dress! The two girls in the photos labelled ‘Ana Beatriz Barros’ are stunning! And I agree with the comments that Marissa Miller is looking older than her years, I think its because she is too thin. I think they would all look better with an extra 5 pounds.

Well, atleast I’m not jealous of their bodies anymore. I used to look at VS models and they would inspire me to stay toned up because they made healthy look so hot. Now I look at them and think wow, I’m glad my body doesn’t look like that.
They are all stunning and gorgeous and impossibly (in an enviable way) thin but (I’ve said this before) they all have a sameness about them. There is nothing unique or interesting looking about them (unless you count protruding bones – as seen on miller – interesting)

Behati Prinsloo is still my fave! Please put her picture on too! I think she looks amazingly sweet and real and she has a lovely tight and curvy figure that’s not stick thin!

MirANDA looks to be about 5′8 115-120ish to me-i think she shouldnt lose more-i see models all the time-very very thin models who walk the catwalk as i live in nyc-they are all look about 16-and wear one universal “model” outfit-for some reason black leggings, boots, and a leather jacket-they are all about 5′10 and have long skinny legs and drink regular coke

OK this is seriously disturbing. To me, that is too skinny. Victorias Secret USED to be about curves…I remember hearing that they had the highest fat % of supermodels…this does NOT seem to be the case. I wish they would go back to the curvier VS models. How are you gonna model lingerie with the body of an underweight 13 year old? What kind of message does that send. Clearly this is not their natural figures and they are dieting/exercising for this figure and I dont understand why. Marisa Miller looked 10x hotter before she lost the weight. @ ONESIE My thoughts exactly. Chanel Iman is a former runway model. Runway models are alot thinner than bathing suit models ususally. If Iman can qualify as a VS model then they are way too thin.

Alessandra was always pretty skinny if I remember correctly but Miranda definitely wasn’t and all the others are looking a bit skinny for lingerie modelling, we know that in the next catalogue and everything they’ll be airbrushed to hell anyway to make them look curvier – so why not STAY curvier? It makes no sense to me…

I’m surprised to see Chanel Iman as a VS model, considering she is known for being really skinny, which is great for high fashion catwalk-not really what I think of for VS. Next thing we know, Karlie Kloss will be a VS model, too.

I am so disapointed at how thin most of the VS girls are looking. Supper skinny is not sexy and the VS show should show should have sexy, curvy and healthier women. Heidi looks the best! Supper skinny models for high fashion is one thing, but VS is not high fashion and they are sending a very dangerous message to impresionable women.
The girls look over tan, over worked out and starving! I think I am going to boycot watching the VS show on tv. I am all for skinny, but not anorexic like skinny.

These women have the most beautiful faces I have ever seen. I think they were encouraged to lose weight and excessively excerise before the fashion show.
- Alessandra Ambrosio looks like she has been hitting the gym frequently, she gained muscle.
- Miranda Kerr has lost weight recently, but in return has recieved ALOT more modeling opportunites and gained A LOT of star power.
-Marissa’s body before was what made her so “Marissa Miller”.. now, she looks a bit unhappy and unhealthy.
- Ana Beatriz IS SO BEAUTIFUL!!! Her cheeks have sunken in however
- Doutzen Krous (not pictured here) looks like she still has the curvy Victoria’s Secret body, but compared to the other girls she looks “big” .. but that is NOT the case these girls are just TOO SKINNY!!
It’s such a shame to see the new bodies that these girls have.. In my opinion, although they have beautiful faces, the weight loss has affected their eyes, happiness, and overall look that made them look so unique before. Especially Marissa.
These women are so influential and it’s a shame to see these powerful ladies like this, so many young girls look up to them, and I hope no unhealthy eating disorder is triggered by them ..

The fact they made Chanel Iman a VS model completely baffles me. She is the opposite of voluptous, no curves, no boobs and no ass. She is a high fashion model! Unless she’s modeling for Pink, I cannot understand their decision. I think they based it on her face alone.

Where is A. Lima? I love the additions of Lily and Chanel-they have such beautiful faces. Also, most models that have larger breasts have had augmentation…it is just how it is. I think all the girls are beautiful, but they should add a few pounds.
Really quite curious how these girls even fit into VS bras. They really don’t make bras for no boobs. I know cause I don’t have big tits either! And AMAZINGLY they all have huge boobs in the catalog and during the fashion show. Should be interesting to watch this year, if not a bit painful seeing bones jut out every where.

Wigs on sticks. That’s it. I have to say that they have lost their va-va-voom being this skinny. Marissa in particular looks like a bag of bones – look at her shoulders for crying out loud! She looks about 35 now. Miranda forgot to tan her hands too. I feel quite sad now. I used to love watching KK strut down the runway in six inch heels with her little jiggle.

This makes me ashamed to work at Victoria’s Secret. I hate it there. Their management is beyond terrible and the clothes are thin and not very good quality unless you’re actually paying a butt-load of money, or investing in a sale item that’s lounge wear or sleep wear.
It’s even harder because I have an eating disorder. I was anorexic for years, and bulimic. I’m in recovery, but this kind of thing really pisses me off. So many young girls come into the store, and I hear so much “fat talk” I’m going to write a letter to the company.
The old models didn’t disappear.. But while most people disagree, what is great about VS’s new round of models is that it makes VS appeal to a much larger audience. A larger audience of fans as well as a much larger audience of women and potential customers. Women come in all shapes and sizes. Larger women can appreciate the more curvy VS models, and smaller women can appreciate the less curvy, thinner models. A thin teenage girl who certainly isn’t developed yet doesn’t need a larger sized bra. She would probably look more at what Miranda and thinner models like her would model. If her older sister who is 25 is also thin like Miranda, she would also look at sets worn by thinner models too. However, she might be more curvy and would look more at lingerie worn by Doutzen, Heidi, or any of the curvier models.
I know people will try, but this really isn’t something anyone can argue. The new VS models add a diversity to the VS line which is good for the consumer, good for the viewers, and good for the company.
Oh my. Marissa Miller has clearly starved that body of hers. I wonder how long she can pull this off. Poor thing. I wish these companies cared enough to get some of these girls treatment rather than paying them to starve.

Actually jjj, it is incredibly easy to argue with you. Sexy underwear aren’t really aimed at young teens and certainly shouldn’t be. On top of that the vast majority of teens are not ultra skinny and in fact 60% of women are overweight which is not represented at all in the fashion show. Most of the models in the VS show this year aren’t even approaching healthy let alone curvy.
On top of that, the bras worn by the grossly skinny models are stuffed and padded to such a degree that I’m not sure a flat chested woman would look at them as a viable option. I think most women (and probably all men) would much prefer to look at the healthy (which, by the way, is not a synonym for fat) and hot women that used to model in these shows because although they aren’t perfect representations of how everyone looks, they are at least inspirational ideals.

Yes, Miranda, Alessandra and Marisa look like they’ve lost some weight. And they did hire some thin models (Anya R., Chanel Iman).
But most of them are still pretty curvy. Lily A., Anna J, Ana B, Izabel and Isabeli, Candice Swanepoel, Doutzen Kroes, Caroline T…all of these models are very curvy and completely healthy looking. Just because Adriana and KK aren’t in the show doesn’t mean that the show has become completely high fashion. Those are only 2 models.

people irritate me….just because these women do look absolutely GORGEOUS,PERFECT does not mean they want you to look like them…get over it…them being perfect does not mean they’re saying, “go throw up your last meal in order to look like me”, there are women that naturally look like them, if you dont GET OVER IT. BE yourself….LOVE THEM

CURVY? Really? That’s funny and sad all at the same time. This is not curvy, you can’t not have fat on your body or boobs and be curvy. Klum is considered cuvry when she is actually “normal” even she sometimes gets to thin. Curvy is Salma hayek. This is not curvy, oh how perceptions have become so mutaited.
I think all the girls are very beautiful, have curves but they are very lean…not dangerously so but a bit skinny for underwear models. Still they are lovely!
