However I am surprised that Victorias secret has women her size since compared to their other models like Alessandra Doutzen isnt half as skinny. But I like variety..uberthinness isnt atainable for all so its good that we have Doutzen and a more voluptuos look isnt atainable for all so its good we have the thinner gals like Alessandra as well. They are all beautiful.

I actually love her thighs. And I usually like the thinner models like Ale. They’re very shapely. I only dislike her waist, but othr than that, she’s a hotty. And she does bring variety to VS.
Vs should have both skinny models and models like Doutzen, not one or the other. Both can be examples of a healthy body to different women…thin women can’t be like Doutzen, and bigger women can’t be like Ale. Neither should have to force themselves to be something they’re not.
I love her!! she is gorgeous. is it just me or has she gained since the VS fashion show?? i remember being surprised how thin she looked there, although she still appeared “bigger” than the other models. The swimsuit photos from a few weeks ago and these look similar. don’t get me wrong she still looks great here, but i thought she looked best at the fashion show.

I think she looks good. She’s curvy and I like her proportions. I’m tall and have thighs somewhat like her, actually a lot of the proportions look similar. I’m happy with myself since I’m just an average everyday person, but this is not really impressive for a Victoria’s Secret model.
Now here’s what I call a beautiful model. She looks healthy and good weight-wise, not emaciated and anorexic like Miranda Kerr etc. And you who said her thighs could do some toning… Oh my.

How can anyone call her thighs huge? I’m sorry, but you need a reality check. Doutzen is one of the best role models around, healthy, great face, killer abs, beautiful curves.. Looking at her makes me jealous, but not in a “I need to starve myself to look like her” way, jealous in a “she is extremely pretty” way.. It doesn’t trigger me to instantly google crash diets, and I think anyone who desribes her as huge should really reconsider how absurd their comments are. I have nothing against skinny models, some girls are just build that way, but I think there is a difference between having a preference and bashing a perfectly healthy girl because your own view is slightly twisted..

Personally, I wouldn’t want to be this large in the hips and thighs, but I do like that she brings variety to the world of VS. And her face is stunningly beautiful-I can’t think of another person alive who is quite this beautiful. I do think she is well over 130 though, I am 5′9″, 135, and I look way smaller than her. I thought of Latetia Costa in answer to the person saying that her body looks like one of their former models.

This is what I’ve always imagined VS models to look like. Curvy, with hips, breasts, and thighs. So it’s surprising to see Miranda Kerr, for example, who really no longer embodies (hahah get it?) that image.

Doutzen doesn’t appeal to me — for some reason, I don’t like her body shape — but I wish that there were more VS models with similar body types. VS models should not be skeletal like high fashion models — they should be curvy and toned.
WOW!!! A VS model with some meat, I love it! Her thighs are very womanly, but I can’t see a drop of cellulite…I wonder if they get those cellulite spa treatments before shoots or if they are all just blessed? I mean, you gotta figure they could airbrush it out anyways. I love her stomach.

P.S. this makes me happy to see cuz I have very similar proportions, and if I really focued on resistence training (which I’m trying to do), this would be totally attainable,and thats really inspiring. LOVE that she doesn’t have the big fake knockers too!!! Hope she stays this way! I think more figures like this in the media would drastically reshape the body image of younger generations…i hate that my gorgeous sweetheart 12 year old neice is already wanting to lose weight. That was a rough time for me.

A 5′10 I would guess she weighs around 135 pounds..giving her a BMI of 19.4. I have seen photos of her a few years ago and I think she used to be closer to 130. I like her curvier! I think she’s fabulous!
You just KNOW those thighs aren’t going to make it into the magazine… of course they’re going to whittle that poor girl down to the point she’s not going to look capable of standing on her own.

Wow, a VS model that looks like they used to. Lingerie models should always be sexier and curvier than runway. They aren’t clothes racks. They sell “sexy” pure and simple. And most guys do not consider stick thin to be “sexy” They want to see breasts, hips and booty for the most part.
I, personally, had enough of Victoria’s secrets models, but Doutzen is the ultimate Victoria’s model to me, the others look like any other skinny models you see on the catwalk, i don’t even know why people are single them out!

I agree with Lily. This is how VS models USED to look. I’m 23, not that old, and I can remember curvier models. Are these sixteen year old girls posting about how they can’t believe that VS picked her? Models have transcended into this skinny stage. VS is not about high fashion, like the Milan catwalks.

They ask to see what Im looking at and when I show them the pics of VS models on here, (so far) they all agree that this girl is by far the sexiest of the bunch. I personally wish I could weigh a little more and look this good.

This woman has the most amazing WOMANLY figure. Women are SUPPOSE to have curves, and no that isnt a cop out from working out and eating well. You can tell she does that from her extremely toned stomach. Ahh i love her body and I wish that every model looked somewhat like this. It would definitely promote healthier body images for sure!!

very sexy, I am “old” and remember frederique and the original models and despite them all having unattainable bodies in my opinion since I am petite this model looks great. the stick legs/tall look makes it difficult to have perspective on what clothes truly look like I think for most of us. Anyways it is nice to see a model built like this for variety sake, but part of me thinks it sucks that I didn’t model in my 20’s(people used to tell me I looked like stephanie seymour alot when she was big in VS…. wish I was taller!!!! oh well) cause I was short and this woman is a “normal” build at her height and can still get jobs given what her fellow VS models are thinner …. they should all be hungry to get paid that much or they better start knocking down all of our doors so we get a shot at doing this for a living!!!!

I really wonder how “natural” the bodies of the skinnier VS girls are. Because let’s face it. Most people are not ectomorphs and probably not many models, and I hate if they are going to extreme measures for this thin look in a sector of the modeling industry that has historically been and should be more forgiving. Not everyone’s going to be voluptuous, but even fewer people are sticks. IDK. They are also under high-fashion contracts that must require them to be thinner.

I agree with Matilda. I think she is the most beautiful of the models. You can’t really tell in these pictures though. I don’t love her body, but I certainly don’t think she is fat and she has awesome abs. I am not sure why they put her in that white bathing suit. I think for her body type a normal bikini would have been much more flattering. Either way, she’s GORGEOUS and I love looking at her pictures.
Kudos to Doutzen for being a successful HF model before breaking into commercial modelling(imo she wouldn’t be earning millions as a model if not for those commercial contracts, which is the case for every model on that money list)

This is what healthy Dutch girls look like. We are designed for physical work, hence the emphasized hips and thighs. At the risk of making us sound like moo cows, let me describe the average Dutch (mature) woman for you:
- clothing size 42 (size 14)
- shoe size 40 (size 8, 8 1/2 for me and 11 for my sister)
- weigt 80 kilos (some 176 pounds)
- D-cup
In our defence: we are the tallest people in the world.

LisaLu, the media has trained us to think that very skinny models is the ideal body type. Each decade a different body type was “in”. For a while, after looking at this site and seeing all the very skinny celebrities and reading all the comments…I actually started to see very skinny/bony as the ideal type but thank God my view has changed since then. Anyway, I think this model looks great. She doesn’t have fat buldging out of places, no roles, no fat hanging, and has a tight stomach. You can’t have a tight stomach with abs without having low percent body fat. This girl is lean, but curvy. Sorry to say but whoever said her thighs need toning is messed up in the head. Every women’s body is different! Some women have bigger thighs while some don’t!

I want her legs! I don’t really care for her body shape, it’s a bit rectangular for my liking, but her legs are amazing. I don’t see the ‘big’ that others seem to see in Doutzen’s legs at all, and the next person who says that will be hunted down personally by me. I look at Doutzen’s legs and feel that, if I actually tried a bit harder, mine could look like that. And mine are not, in my opinion, particularly big. I would, as I always say, love to see what the people who say legs like Doutzen’s are thick, would make of mine. And I’m not exactly a big girl!

there’s a reason you don’t see cellulite on her. these photos are not photoshopped yet, she just DOESNT HAVE CELLULITE because she is NOT FAT!!! cellulite can be somewhat genetic, but when it comes down to it, cellulite is when you have fat cells with no muscle to stick to… its just layers of fat.
but on Doutzen, her legs are a little bigger than other models’ legs because of MUSCLE and healthy shape… if she had “Fat” legs and hips, you would see a lot of cellulite. Since she has a low body fat percentage and an athletic body, she can be a little bigger than miranda and alessadra but still not have cellulite.
