   Happy New Year to Rian and all of the readers. May 2010 be a year in which we all embrace what we have, realize that we’re beautiful the way we were made, take care of our bodies with *proper* nutrition and exercise, and stop obsessing about having a body type that we weren’t born with. May we appreciate how wonderful food is and how lucky we are to have it when so many in the world would kill for a fraction of what we throw away everyday. May we stop tearing down other girls for being thin or for being heavy. May we all support each other and ourselves in our quest for happiness and personal fulfillment and realize that life is about connecting with other people, and not about feeling miserable about our bodies. Happy New and Healthy Year to all.

   Reading your posts and all the comments you leave I’ve learned to convert pounds into kilograms, that US size 0 is a spanish size 32, that magazine covers explainig “How Celebrities Lose Weigh” are veeery typical there, that you watch Celebrity Fit Club… and “curious” expressions you use like skinny-fat, scary skinny, toothpick, fit and toned, baggy clothes, unflattering outfit… and more! P

    Rian, Happy New Year to you too. In the light of new beginnings and all, would it be possible to take me off your moderation list? I consider myself to be a very moderate person, so it’s hard to see your moderation comment pop up every single time I make a posting. If I unknowingly transgressed any rules in the past, I sincerely apologize. Cultural differences and my limited English skills may have played a part in that. That being said, The Skinny Website always makes for a fun start of my day. Thanks for that!

    Happy new year! just so you know, we still have a whole year to prepare for the new decade. 2010 is the last year of the current one, 2011 marks the new one. sorry that is a big pet peeve of mine but don’t let that stop any of you from having a fabulous new year.

    Rian I definitely have to add that I thank you for always voicing a healthy, reasonable and positive attitude towards the celebrities whose pictures you post. You do a great job giving us ‘the skinny’ on all the celebrity weight ups and downs and diet and fitness secrets with a responsible attitude and commentary. I have a lot of respect for that and for the hard work you must put in moderating all the comments. You’re one hard working lady! Thank you.
