It is not the boots that is making America look ’short and stumpy’, it is her body.

i dont`think she`s slim & that long sweater doesn`t flat her – this “sausage”-wrinkles at the belly! she seems to be in a good mood, but nevertheless her face is realy not attractive. she`s nearly ugly!

I think she looks pretty in these photos. I would say she looks like she is at an ok weight for her I think she would look even better a bit thinner but not everyone is able to get there. I like the cream color sweater on her.

Terrible shoes–she needs something to elongate the line of her legs. Boots that hit mid-calf or higher will always make short women look stumpy. America is something like 5′1″ so these are just not right for her.
That said, she’s effortlessly beautiful and pulls off the rest of the outfit nicely.

Some of you folks are so harsh in your judgment. I’d like to see you on the receiving end of a critical eye. You have to give the woman credit she’s lost plenty of weight. Her bmi is most likely healthy. I wouldn’t say she’s overweight. So she’s not a twig, but not everyone is naturally a waif. Not everyone is willing to go under the knife or put themselves through mental and physical turmoil to achieve “hollywood pretty”.

I think calling her slim is a stretch, but I hardly think she’s fat. She looks to be on the higher end of healthy, but she still looks good.

Yeah, I’m with maude here. You, Carine, are living in a hollywood-society, we are living in a normal society. Most of the actresses out there right now are a touch underweight, which seems to be the norm which is very unhealthy and it skews how you are supposed to see women like America. She is not overweight, she definitely has a healthy BMI and unfortunately because she is so short, she can lose 5 lbs and it will be a big deal or gain 5 lbs and be a big deal. But regardless of that, she looks healthy and normal and how a person should look. Nobody was meant to look like a bony stick, so please Carine, for the sake of people who want to be healthy and a good role-model, stop judging people and comparing them to someone who is 5′11″ and weighs 90 lbs.

@ ALANA i totally agree! Shes not fat at all, shes normal. I read where shes actually a size six. She just looks chunkier becuase if ppl compare her to the anorexic unhealthy models. Her face is simply gorgeous! Shes even lost weight since her earlier acting days.
