I might be in the minority on this one, but she looks GORGEOUS without makeup for someone her age, who has had the type of lifestyle that she’s had. In my eyes, her fashion sense can do no wrong. But I don’t think that’s her engagement ring…wrong hand.
Correction – if that coat is made of real fur, then she definitely loses points with me. And it probably is.

nowadays one hardly can decide if it’s real fur or not by looking at it. even if you can touch and feel it it will still be hard enough to tell. that’s why i so wouldn’t understand if she’d still choose to wear real fur.

@supersonic1122: I compleely agree with you. Lots of people attack those who wear fur because it’s so obvious, but they don’t think twice when they eat the animal or buy real leather bags.
Anyway, it’s a weight gossip website, not an animal rights discussion group. (for the record I neither eat or wear animals but I don’t judge others for it either)

…The issue of killing animals for their fur is not in the same way related to using/buying products made from leather or suede. Agreed, many non-meat eaters and those against the slaughter of animals for food choose not to use/wear leather, suede, and other animal-derived products, BECAUSE of their belief against killing the animals.
However leather and suede are primarily by-products of the slaughter of animals for food. Cows, pigs, lambs etc are not killed FOR their skin unlike tigers, snow leopard, mink, etc etc.
Therefore the morality of wearing a coat like the one Kate Moss is wearing in comparison to someone walking down the street in a pair of leather shoes is well……quite different.
If someone can explain it to me I’ll be grateful but I’ll never understand people comparing fur to leather. I can understand people preferring leather over a man made material as it’s porous and allows the covered area to ‘breathe’ and stretches with wear, and you don’t necessarily have to go into exclusive animal groups to get it. Don’t cows get routinely slaughtered for beef. If you use the hide for leather then surely that’s an efficient use of a cow carcass.
I mean if you’re talking about ostrich leather or more exclusive kinds of leather then I see your point. But fur is… well, do you really need to wear it unless your constantly in subzero temperatures? It’s more of a statement then a staple. Which is why, I thought, people took a dim view of it being worn over something like leather shoes.
But I’m open to the idea that I’m missing the point here.

I would never in my life wear fur, but I eat meat, so I never rant about it because I’m just as wrong :\ … I think that considering her age, lifestyle, and all the smoking and drugs, her face looks pretty good.
Fee, I get that you could think of cow’s skin as “leftovers”. But, 10% of a cow’s value is in its skin. It’s not as though a farmer says to a leather maker, “hey, would the scraps from a cow come in handy to you?” The leather makers will buy it from the farmer, the same way a furrier will buy minx fur from a skinner. It just seems weird to me, when people see no limits to the amount of leather they buy, to then object to fur.
Not that she is old btw but all that bad living would surely speed up the aging process for anyone…

I meant that for a model, she needs to drop about 20 pounds to compete with women who are six inches taller than her. For an average woman…her weight is meh. Nothing special. Cannot really comment cause I do not appreciate the animal coat and animal boots. I cannot even wear leather/cow/calf. I am just amused a bit by the look on her face as if to say “please don’t take a picture of me right now…..I’m not wearing concealer today!”.

As far as Kate Moss, her figure looks great, but the skin is another story. The wonders of makeup are amazing! Her face is so harsh and sun damaged.

I thought the photos might have been flipped, for whatever reason (because she’s wearing her “engagement ring”) on the right hand, but if you look carefully at the yellow truck in the background, although you can’t make out the letters, you can tell that they’re facing the correct way.
Combined with the hideousness of the jewelry, I’d say that’s not her engagement ring.
