I think its funny that a couple people have posted that she seems like she tries too hard. I have thought the same thing too since she blew up with the Twilight movies…the extensions have gotten longer, the clothes have gotten trendier, the giant sunglasses, meeting her acting coach at Starbucks to go over a script with the paparazzi watching…you can tell she’s a new celeb because she still loves being famous and finding ways to show off her riches.

Don’t like the outfit at all, but she has a really nice figure and stunning face (although with the sunnies on she kinda looks like Michael Jackson). The only thing that seems ‘off’ is the broad shoulders, but she can’t help that and she still looks amazing anyway.

I love her.Shes gorgeous shes cool shes nice.But i must say i think when she had her nose job,the surgeon made her nose too thin,very Jackson-esque.But thankfully her the rest of her face is so stunning it draws attention away from the obviousness of her nose job.Though i hope she never tries to alter it again because then she will have issues like Micheal Jackson did.The surgeon already made it too thin that altering it again is too dangerous.
Completely agree with whoever said she’s trying too hard because that could be her middle name. I can’t stand these somewhat new Hollywood starlets trying to ACT like celebrities as if it were written in a book. It should be a rule of thumb that whenever someone’s hair looks like it’s been done by Ken Paves in the middle of the day with no purpose at all, you know the person is a wannabe. I mean look at her – the big bag over her arm, heels, huge sunglasses. Everything about her screams “look at me!”.
This is hilarious how some people are saying stuff about her trying too hard to act/dress like a star. Whenever a movie star walks around in their sweats after a workout, people say they don’t try hard enough. Aside from the heels, this looks like something I would wear (though mine is more the forever 21 version). I think everyone should try to put their best foots forward, regardless of how famous they are. It just makes you feel better & ready to take on the world. It takes maybe five or 10 minutes extra time to put together a cute outfit compared to a comfortable (i.e., sloppy) outfit. Most people waste that much time watching a few minutes of a “saved by the bell” re-run or posting on this site (lol).

I do not like her outfit at all! the jeans are ill fitted, the ruffle top ( Ann Taylor silk Georgette petal top ) is horrendous, white bag, black shiny shoes, burgundy cardigan, well no way!

I personally could never have long gorgeous hair no matter how well I took care of it because mine’s fine. I have hair extensions and I think they look fabulous and so do Ashley’s. She’s never been one of my favorites but she looks amazing here.
Is it me or does she look like she has had something done to her lips? She has that Megan Fox “I can’t close my mouth” effect going on.
I agree that her nose looks funky in that first pic, but it could just be a bad angle/lighting. Her arms are chunky in that cardigan, I feel bad because I have the same problem
It’s genetic I swear! Also, that top is really hard to pull off (I know I couldn’t) so I applaud her bravery! The hair is awful and ages her, she should stay away from the “poor mans Kate Beckinsale” comparisons.
geez everyone is a hater today, would she still be trying so hard if her bag was on her shoulder and she wasn’t wearing oversize glasses? Maybe her purse keeps sliding off her shoulder, i know i’ve had plenty of bags that don’t stay put, and come on the oversize glasses? everyone wears them. I’m sure if she was wearing raybans people would complain about those too. She’s cute, fit, young and looks happy, and she really has no reason to be anything but that.
Some people seem to ignore the fact that judgements regarding Ashley trying too hard are not directed at this particular post exclusively. In my defense I can only say that that’s the conclusion I’ve landed after months of seeing her pictures. She IS a try-hard, not only in her clothing habits, but in her way of choosing the “right” kind of friends aka the Gossip Girl cast and hanging out at all the typical celeb places. Talk about lacking a personality. She’s predictable and not very original.

She looks weird in the second picture, but I think she’s absolutely lovely.
I don’t think her arms look chunky at all, she looks pretty slim to me. Don’t like what she’s wearing, as usual, and in this particular instance she looks like she was styled for an episode of GG. Not in that the outfit is cool, but it’s over-the-top expensive and polished-looking, imo.

@girly girl- Totally agree with you I don’t see anything wrong with her outfit and how she’s trying too hard.. that is definately something I would wear I love cardigans,skinny jeans and tank tops or ruffly tops actually I just bought one very similar to this one she’s wearing except its not that ruffly.
And I also wear flats instead of heels anyways I think ppl here are too picky. LOVE THE OUTFIT! PERIOD.

I agree with natasha. I don’t like stick legs but I like slender thighs. Ashley’s are a few pounds away from being thick.
