I don’t understand how sometimes she looks amazingly stunning and other times she looks a little bit like a parakeet or something? I don’t mean to be ugly about it, but there is just something about her face….

She looks beautiful, but the dress is way too much fabric, folds, pleats, etc. The color is great, but the dress was a disaster. Plus it doesn’t really fit her well in the bust area.

evamattiolo – You’re not being very reasonable. In order to make such a statement you need to look at her individually. If you were to put people up against eachother then basically everyone would come out as “chubby” compared to someone else.

She isn’t a skinny person. Normal thin. Sure she could tone up sometimes, but her face is stunning. I am not loving the color of this dress. Its almost spring, this is more of an autumn color. Also, it seems a little ill fitting in her stomach area.

I understand where evamattiolo is coming from. I do agree that she has a nice figure but you can tell she dosen’t work out much. She could use some toning to make her look even better then she already does. After all celebrities usually work really hard to look great for the Oscars. They know theyre gonna be scrutinzed. I just think she could have done a little more toning. Regardless, shes beautiful.
This woman is obviously not chubby but good luck trying to explain that to some of the nutcases on here (I say that with love ladies!). She’s gorgeous and usually makes good strong dress choices for awards shows.
Just so some of you ladies know, you’re not either 90 pounds and skinny or chubby. There is middle ground. Some people are so purposefully dramatic and ridiculous.

Not impressed with this dress. So utterly predictable for Penelope Cruz to wear a dress like that. And it’s too much material which makes her bottom look strangely flat. I don’t like it at all.
She gets a lot of attention in Spain, and it´s obvious she slims down for her films. She has a really healthy looking and nice figure, and I guess if you´re offered a role in an international production, it´s normal to shed a few if it´s requiered. She looked absolutely stunning at the Spanish Goya Awards a few weeks back. Don´t care much for her acting, but she seems really nice and beautiful.

She looks beautiful, but a boring dress. I think its the colour. Maybe a different shade of red or a royal blue or something . . .it just doesn’t seem to stand out.
