Lol I am sure we will get people telling us how her oufit is totally avant garde and that anyone who doesnt like it must be some kind of redneck, but I dont care the outfit sucks. The skirt with a different top would be fine, but the head to-toe-leather/pleather look is so nasty, and there is really nothing to be said for the jacket, it speaks for itself lol.

I agree snoops, it happens on every post. People saying we have “no idea what fashion is, they are icons, inspirations, ahead of everyone else”…blah blah blah. I don’t like her outfit. But it’s so great that she’s showing her LEGS. And her bag looks strange, I wish I had a better look at it.

Oh, MK… in her skinny days, she may have looked better in this outfit, no matter the horrendous shoulder pads, but nowadays, she just cannot pull it off. That being said, I’m all about her being “healthier” and I normally love her offbeat, wackabilly/avant garde/haute couture fashion sense, but it seems like she chooses outfits that are completely unflattering for her new and “healthier” body sometimes. I am super short too, so I know how easy it is to look “stumpy,” and I assumed she would know the same when dressing.
Still, it’s not the worst I’ve seen her, and with the messy hair, it kind of works.
I’ve never been a fan of her body. Little frame, big hips and stick thin legs. She has Nicky Hiltons’ body if it were compressed about 6 inches.She wears looks off the runaway except that she’s no 5′10 model so she cant pull it off. She needs to work harder on cultivating a style that suits her.

there is no getting around that you have to be tall and emaciated to pull off outfits like this. love the effort and general look though!

Are the Olsens just playing a sick joke on us? How on earth do they manage to come up with the most ridiculous, comical outfits ever? And will someone please cut and style their hair? I mean, really. With all that money you would think they could manage to look more attractive and put together. This isn’t fashion; this is comedy.
Honestly, this girl can’t win. I neither like nor dislike her, but no matter what she wears, she gets hated on. I’d never wear this outfit, but come on, we’ve seen her wear much, much worse.

Anyway, I think the Olsen’s are naturally gorgeous and just adorable, and if they dressed to flatter themselves, instead of for “fashion” I think I would like them more. Now, with the hideous outfits and extreme extreme levels of try-hardery, I can’t stand them.

But you can only pull off insane, ridiculous outfit like that when you’re super skinny. She used to have the super skinny thing (granted unheathily) so she could get away with the trash bag outfits she’d put together. But now, at a normal weight, she really can’t. I’m glad she’s healthier, but she now needs to dress like a normal human being.

M-K. WHY?? Why??? Why?? This outfit is totally a fashion disaster on her. She does look lots healthier here, so I guess that is one positive thing that I (we) can mostly agree about! Her legs looks bigger(not too big…but more normal.) Usually she has had twig like legs). I know that her legs were like two itsy bitty bird looking thin legs. Her legs are fuller & more toned here. Needs to comb her hair, though. Also, why is she weating this heavy / bulky looking outfit. It looks like a winter oufit. It’s been really,really hot in NYC the past week/ten days or so…like in the mid 80’s up to even around 90 or 92 degrees.
Are the eighties back?? I had an outfit just like this in 1982.

I quite like how she expresses herself individually
rather than just going with the flow. Nowadays everybody seems to be dressing more or less the same. She has always been true to herself.

The thing is the Mary-Kate really was a fashion icon. The operative word being was. I don’t know what happened. On top of that, what Saviana said was some what true. Its easier to pull of crazy shit if your super skinny..but that outfit is ugly.
Although I adore their collection, and though both gals seem really interesting and unique (NOT spaced out like some people think they are) I can’t reconcile the smart, sophisticated MKO I watch being interviewed on Fashion TV with this look. Its klingon (any sci-fi fans out there?) mixed with some sort of dominatrix. The bag with faux (hopefully) wildcat paws only confuses me further. I love both twins, but this looks is definately beneath MKO.

I don’t care how much something is in fashion, if it makes you look like Mary Kate Olsen in above pictures then there is something wrong! LOL. I’ve never understood how they are both such a big influence in the fashion world and then walk around dressed like that! I’ve hardly ever seen a picture of any of the twins where I thought, yep, she looks good for once.
