I’ve always adored Kate – she’s such a good actress, nice personality and so down to earth when it comes to fame. Wow, so many cheering comments. I guess it’s up to me to play the part of the old cynic yet again. Yes, Winslet may look the part of a woman in love, but she has looked it so many times before. This woman is the epitome of the serial monogamist. Totally into one guy on Monday and unto the next on Tuesday. For this reason alone, I skip all her interviews nowadays.
Furthermore, she is a sell-out Tyra Banks style. Making a big ‘ol fuss about some photo retouching and then botoxing up and losing serious weight before red carpet events. I really don’t mind her succombing to the pressures of Hollywood, because it’s a tough world for women especially, but I do mind her pretending to be all about female solidarity. Trust your audience to understand that looks are an essential part of your profession, babe, and cut it out with the fake honesty already! Um, to end on a positive note: she does look great here.
