Good in the mad men episodes and I like her generally, but something off about her here.
I just don’t see what’s so special about her. Sure, it’s great to see someone who’s not a stick, but she’s not particularly beautiful. Meh.
She does look off here – I think it’s the hair, the color looks perhaps a little faded and dull. I think she should try a different color red – something more natural.
I find it funny that most recently she’s been TOTALLY covering up her boobs…which she used to FLAUNT to be famous. I think covering them up makes her look overall bigger. This dress would be more flattering with a slight v-neck to it.

Ya, I like the blue color as well, but the style of the dress isn’t helping her out much… that dress would be more for like Betty White or Marry Tyler Moore. I admire her figure, but I like a person to look fit.

The color is pretty on her and her weight looks about the same. I would not want to have her figure though. It seems like it’d be hard to dress.

I agree bohokitty, I wouldn’t really know how to dress a figure like hers except to wear a-line dresses and pencil skirts with a blouse all the time…and this is why I could never be a stylist for other people! I think the blue looks very nice on Christina, it compliments her red hair. I don’t really find her dress too matronly, it’s timeless and conservative to me.
As a woman with big boobs, I avoid high-necked garments. Seriously unflattering most of the time.

Ick. I know blue and red are complimentary colors, but I think the contrast looks really bad. I think she’s so overrated, but she’s representing the more “average” sized women so I get the appeal I guess.

I know that women like to show her as an example of healthy, curvy body, but I don’t think there’s anything average about her. She’s got big breasts and wide hips, but at the same time she has slim legs, small arms & waist. I don’t really see that body type often, slim but really curvy. When women gain weight, well, it doesn’t really all go into breasts and hips…
The size of that guy’s forehead is mesmerizing.
I actually like the way she looks here. A lot of the time she makes faces and poses in a really contrived way.

I like the color of her dress but not the actual dress. I think Christina Hendricks is a gorgeous woman.
She’s a pretty woman but has no idea how to dress but with her ample curves, she’ll either look matronly (all covered up) or too sexy. I’m not a fan of Mad Men but she was great in Firefly.

I don’t see what is so special about her. Her body is average at best, and I am so sick of her being praised for being a “real woman” because she isn’t stick thin. There are a lot of “real women” who are naturally stick thin, so I don’t think it’s right for the media to classify overweight or “curvy” women to be “real.” As for her outfit, it does nothing for her. The color, the fit, the cut, nothing. And as far as her face goes…bleh….average. She’s an all around average person.
Hair is too red, lips are too red, dress is a tad too bright (might look better without the clown hair). Dress is also too matronly. Shoes do nothing. Get a stylist – and a good one. She really has some potential this just isn’t it.
I think she looks fine, but I prefer the curvy body of Sofia Vergara, who looks more proportionate with a smaller waist & a gorgeous face to boot!

she appears “off” because her body type clearly looks too heavy to comfortably balance. sometimes a matter of 6 or 7 pounds less can make for stunning photos and an enviable curvy shape versus a fashion and physical appearance no-no

This might sound cruel but I think the only reason she got those ridiculous breast implants was so that she can have a heavy body without looking ot ouf proportion. Which doesn´t work because frankly I think her head now looks too small for her body…
Such a shame because I think she would look extra beautiful if she would go a few cup sizes smaller and lose some weight (not much).

She is such a lovely looking woman that I just understand why she seems hell-bent on dressing so atrociously. That color is awful on her and overwhelms her skin.
She was in Firefly? I’ll have to re-watch that..It’s a nice change of scenery to see a women in Hollywood that is not stick thin.
Her head looks small compared to her body. It’s an advantage to have a thin face imo, makes it easier to pull off the pounds you might gain from time to time, but after a while, you’ll end up looking disproportionate. Which she does, in my eyes. She suits being somewhat meaty, but to me she’d look better just a tad thinner. I’ve never liked any shades of petrol or mint on pale people (well maybe there are some rare exceptions), and though her dress is verging on average light blue / blue, it still has that wrong shade for me, too much yellow. Shame, with her coloring, the right colors would make her radiant.
It’d be one thing if this were her natural physique; then you work with what you’ve got. But she bought these boobs. Very matronly and thick when she covers them up. Foolish-aging-former-playmate look when she’s got them on display. I hate that young girls are following this (short lived, as all fashion is) trend. Celebrities can afford to have them taken out.

I think she’s simply beautiful. I have several male friends who watch the show and think she’s just perfect. Absolutely gorgeous. She is so talented, and she didn’t “use” her boobs to get famous, @Mari. She just– shockingly!!!!–didn’t try to cover up a natural and beautiful part of herself. This woman is a force. Actually, I like her body image. She was in a movie about a girl with an eating disorder several years ago (Hunger Point).
