Candice looks bad. I like her proportions and think she can have a great curvy body, but she ruins it by being so thin. Adriana is one of the most gorgeous celebs I can think of. She makes Alessandra look boring, and I normally like her face a lot (not bod).
i will never understand why anyone would want to look like this- which leads me to believe she is ill and the VS people are sick. they can only be using her for publicity. everyone knows the less inches on the model the more column inches in the papers.
I thought Victorias secrets models were meant to be slim/curvy (and I’m not just talking in the boob area!!)
We’ve got to remember they’re role models for lots of young girls and think about promoting a healthier body image, I definitely dont think candice is doing that at all!

Wow, I couldn’t believe how thin these girls are when I first looked at these pics, my stomach dropped, to me it’s way toooooooo skinny. I love victorias secret stuff, but when these girls are portrayed like this and have bodies this skinny, it makes me gag and not want to buy clothes from them.

I agree with everyone’s post above. I always loved the VS girls because they were naturally thin girls with healthy curves. Ever since Candice, Alessandra, and Miranda lost all this weight all the girls feel pressure to compete with them i’m sure. The CEO of VS or whatever should ENFORCE these women to gain weight. Even Douzten Krous who had a BANGING curvy body has lost a ton!! It makes me sick!!

The only reason her legs look so skinny in the 1st photo is b/c of the position she is in! If you look at the other photos(like the last shot) her legs look completely normal! I think she looks great!

I miss the days when the VS girls were different because they were healthy, curvy and toned. Now they just look like your standard fashion models – drawn, sickly and sad looking. Disappointing, because I thought VS was on to something and we would see others follow suit. Shame..

Each day is very long and miserable. You’re fighting the hunger pangs and are too exhausted and cold to enjoy anything. Forget about sleeping. Being Candace must suck.

Candice is much too skinny but she also just came off of this seaons runway where before she was just doing editorial and swim suit work. Runway for some reason really wants stick slim. It doesn’t look right on her to be that small and then return to the beach look. Adriana looks like a goddess here, but she doesn’t smile much.
I don’t think those are all the way real, I just don’t. Candice didn’t look THAT thin just a little bit ago and I honestly don’t think VS would let her model that thin. Also, I think something looks odd with Alessandras left arm, around the elbow area. I don’t know. If they are real, that blonde is very sick. But, I don’t think they are. I think they are very thin, but I feel like these may have been doctored a bit. Just my opinion, though!

That first picture of Candice is not nice. I have always disliked how narrow her rib cage is, now it looks worse.

I agree with the photo shop opinion. The second photo of Candice with the guy looks off. Also her legs are always skinny in these shots but more so in the first shot. It doesn’t add up.
I’ll spend the rest of my day trying to solve the Swanepoel enigma. I know that Rian does not use photoshopped images, so that can’t be it, but can someone please tell me what’s going on here? How come Swanepoel can look perfectly fine (albeit a bit on the skinny side) in a skin tight dress and like a ghost of her former self in a bikini? If you can make Lima and Ambrosio look full figured by comparison, you have to be virtually nonexistent. Is she part of some designer’s master plan to rid the world of women?

i kind of doubt adriana feels all that bad. she’s still getting paid very well. she’s got a life outside of this modeling gig. she probably treats it as just another day at the office. and im sure her bikini outfit was chosen for her.
There was a time when the VS models were considered healthy and curvy, but those days are long gone. That was the era when Tyra Banks was still modeling for them.. Nowadays they’re all sticks. I don’t know why people still perceive them as good role models when in fact the only thing differentiating them from the catwalk models is the tan and the boobs.
Just look at what they did to Karolina Kurkova who’s now unrecognizable. We all keep gushing in wonder how these girls get back to their pre-baby bodies so fast, but I can assure you it’s not through healthy diet an exercise. Look at Alessandra and Miranda – who would have thought they’ve ever given birth? They both looked like their old selves 2 weeks after delivering a baby.
@maddison – You are exactly right. It must be hell being her if she’s a victim of an eating disorder. Unfortunately for Candice, if she lost weight to get through a season of editorials and runway, it’s her funeral because she’s now lost what was once an interesting, curvy body. Who needs another blonde skeleton? We’re all sick of Alessandra, but Adriana is a true beauty.
Adriana Lima looks like a Russian whore. Sorry, she’s just not my type. I don’t like this whole open-mouth-equals-sexy look. Candice looks awful. And actually, the more I look at these pictures the more I think how tacky and cheap they all look in these outfits.

That first picture is frightful, but in the rest she just looks tiny! I see no ribs or popping out shoulders. She’s got a lot of booty for that tiny waist!
Those pictures are horrendous. Alessandra is still my favorite model, but could stand to gain some muscle tone in her arms – they just look stick-like (but her legs are ahhh-mazing, and her face and hair are flawless!). Really: 5 extra pounds would be her friend. Candace is TERRIFYING, and I don’t think it’s just the angles. She just looks sick – I feel like without a ton of bronzer and a fake tan, she must be positively transluscent. Adriana looks great… but I don’t like her bathing suit – her whole look is kind of depressing for a pool event. Overall – kind of an icky collection of pictures, which is impressive given the subject matter!
I love shopping at Victoria’s Secret for bras & panties and all that fun stuff.All of the VS modals are stunning! I always wished i could be a VS modal when i was little but i never grew tall enough to modal.Unfortunately for me im only 5′4′:( Oh well lol But you know how they say every woman has a girl crush? Well my girl crushes (yes plural lol) are the Victoria’s Secret modals!! lol In my opinion VS modals are some of the most beautiful women in the world. It is something different than fat girls who think they have curves. Candice also has curves, how they are supposed to be in a female to attract men. Fat girls have ugly curves, these are very sexy curves.
I don’t think this was photoshopped. Look at Candice’s face. It looks completely different — much older (based on these photos, I though she was nearing 30). I had to Google her to see what she used to look like. Wow, so so so gorgeous before. Here, not so much. I’d almost say she’s verging on butterface.

Adriana looks amazing! Beautiful figure. The other two are in desperate need of some food. The blonde looks scary skinny, and Alessandra has always been skinny, but she could use 5-10 lbs to get a more womanly look. Curves don’t hurt, especially when it’s trying to sell lingerie & swimsuits. VS should be weary of the fashion runway look, as they’ve had such curvy beauties like Tyra and Heidi.
Ok I really have no idea who these girls are, I don’t follow models. And this is why. These girls no doubt have eating disorders, its painfully obvious. Its so obvious, that I don’t see how people around them can just look the other way, and pretend its normal and ok. Its mostly the blond one that I’m referring to. So awful..
@Mickey von Dutch and others who asked, I think she may have been deliberately posing to look as thin as possible. A couple of the poses she was doing seemed a bit unnatural, which could contribute to how thin she appeared in the photos. I know the agency where these came from and they are huge, very reputable and I know they wouldn’t dare alter pics for fear of a lawsuit. There is also the possibility that the photographers themselves saw how skinny the gals were in real life and decided to play it up using photographic techniques that would bring it out more?
Adriana looks healthy, sexy, and fit. She would probably look a little less “harsh” if she lightened her hair a bit, but she looks great otherwise! The other two, sweet Jesus, if they were my friends I would tell them they need some serious help.

@Rian Mmm.. YOU chose the most unflattering images, the ones with the weirdest angles, not Candice, nor the photographers. We get it, it’s what people on your site likes. But to all those calling Candice anorexic, search for the pics on other sites and you’ll find that in most, her thights look great, not rail thin.
I’m just glad that I’m at a point in my life where VS means nothing to me. Yes, I buy their bras, but I don’t care about the models. m-o-d-e-l-s, btw. It doesn’t matter how skinny the other two get- they’ll always look average compared to Adriana IMO.
It is that pose which made Candice look bad. She’s very thin, but it is really that pose. You look at her in other pictures, she doesn’t looks great and not too thin.
Those blowing kisses poses that these girls and others like Lohan always do look ridiculously stupid. They need to stop. Candice has a serious problem. She looks like the chick in an anorexia commercial.
SOO disappointed at Candices body! She has been my favorite VS girl for a while now, Alessandra used to be my favorite now she just looks sickly! She used to looks so much better. Too skinny now. I used to slave at the gym to look like her now I’d have to never eat again to get that body which I would never want! Such a shame…
I know she’s really skinny but I have to say the shape of her body is incredible. I was looking at the pics teebee posted and Candice has an otherworldly body. I don’t believe that most people, even with exercise and diet, can have a shape like she has with such a tiny defined waist and her hip to waist ratio, genetics plays a huge part in it. I think she’s gorgeous, but she could gain weight. Maybe it’s more notable because she’s standing next to two women who are both slender yet she still stands out as being so much skinnier than them.

Remember Kate Moss (no I don’t do cocaine-katie) and portia de rossi (no I don’t have an eating disorder) there are only a few ways to get this thin… drugs are one and the second are laxatives/throwing up. I’m shocked that VS advocates this… Candice needs help!

i’m all for being fit and slim and having low body fat if it’s healthy but candice really does look unreal in a bad way. to look that thin in a photo, i can’t imagine what it must take to be that thin and i’ve been pretty thin. it’s just so messed up that these girls are being told to starve themselves by their agencies (and they are).

I’ve seen other recent pics of Candice and have to say she really has become this thin. A couple of years ago she wasn’t, but she is now. Adriana looks the best by far. I hope VS is going to motivate others to get her body shape rather than Candice’s.
Ok, first off, you people crying “PHOTOSHOP” need to get a copy of Photoshop and learn how to retouch pictures. These are not photoshopped. Second, the way Candice is turning her legs inward is going to make her thighs look smaller. Also if you try to pull your arms away from your body you will make them appear smaller too. If you’ve ever modeled in front of your mirror you should know that little differences in your posing can make you look a lot thinner.

Candice doesn’t look ill to me, she isn’t bony and sick looking, she just has an incredibly long and small frame. Just look at that torso….her ribs must be tiny. Yeah she is underweight, but she doesn’t look awful, in fact I think she looks gorgeous.

I have to say that as much as I HATE it when people deny eating disorders or drugs, the only reason I know that it’s POSSIBLE that Candice is not sick is that my sister (who is so clean and pure, doesn’t drink, smoke, do drugs, and never had an eating disorder–eats normally!) is very thin like this too. She has a naturally thin frame and is 5′8″. I could see people thinking that my sister has an eating disorder, but she doesn’t. I THINK IT’S POSSIBLE THAT SHE’S JUST THIN.

stop saying she needs a cheese burger. She needs rich and chunky meals. I eat 2 burgers for lunch at my college everyday and am about her size due to my metabolism. Apparently eating healthy makes you gain more weight as oppose to fast food alone. Sometimes people are small because they are naturally that way. Candice doesn’t have her hip bones and ribs poking out, she looks healthy to me. If she need to gain weight, the best thing to do is eat full meals with protein weight gainers, and do weight training to gain mass. I tried 5 years to put on some solid weight so people don’t make fun of me. Real anorexics have a particular look to their face and it’s not hard to spot one.

Candice looks very slim here, but healthy still. I absolutely <3 her shoes, where can I get a pair like these?? In one of the poses where she pushes her torso back and the top of her body forward it makes her appear every slimmer, which I don't think looks too good but I'd like to think she's in the healthy range, and clearly sports a petite frame. Small hip ratio and compact shoulders.

honestly, and most people will probably disagree wth what i’m about to say but i reckon its just the angle of candice’s body in the first pic that is making her look ’scary skinny’. the other pics she looks fine to me.
I saw video of the this “shoot” and it is definitely not the angles its her. My husband was even disgusted…. these girls shouldn’t be aloud to parade around when they are clearly sick.

I thought VS models were supposed to be healthy and curvy…not like the super models for high fashion. The only good looking one here is Adriana Lima…the other two look sick! This isn’t a good role model for young girls!
Erin, I have to agree with you. Yes, Candace is looking very thin…but she’s still looks fabulous.
Adriana is just so beautiful! She is probably so uber slim in person but compared to these other two gals she looks healthy and lovely. So the other 2 must be nearly emaciated looking in person.
And I am so delighted to see that supermodels skin (like their legs) looks just as blotchy as mine when they aren’t smoothed out for magazines.
But seriously these women need to gain weight. Why is stick thin called beautiful? Candice looks like she is killing herself to be this thin

Candice looks great to me, she is clearly toned and looks healthy. Her body type allows her to be this small and it looks like she achieved it in a healthy way. I think the US has become so accustomed to obesity that some healthy thin women get unnecessarily bashed. We all know what an ED looks like, and this clearly isn’t it imho
Adriana looks stunning! I love her dark hair. She only looks bigger because of how anorexic the other two look. I’ve seen other recent pics of Adriana and she looks super thin.
@Matilda- How can you say Adriana looks like a Russian whore? She does have to open her mouth to do a little something called, breathing- I don’t know if you have ever heard of it?! Alessandra is looking gorgeous! And it’s strange how Candice looks okay in the second part of the VS Swimwear Launch pictures, and scary in this part. Adriana’s outfit is horrible, but otherwise she’s gorgeous. Alessandra stands out the most though – that girl looks completely radiant!

To be fair, although Candice IS scary skinny as far as I can see by comparison with the other two, her rib cage isn’t exactly visible and she still has boobs and a pert bum. So I’m confused…maybe she’s just naturally skinny? It doesn’t always have to be a bad thing. Also, I have a feeling she’s much shorter than wikipedia says she is. Cause she looks pretty diminutive in comparison with all the other VS models. Also, is it me, or does she look like a blonde Megan Fox?
is being naturally skinny a bad thing? I ain’t referring to Candice but seems like there is a lot ppl bad mouthing about healthy skinny. I was biking the other day and a lady at the park told me I should stop exercising because I look too thin. I was furious because exercise is actually good for my health and vitality. Nothing wrong with working out 3 times a week and eat a big bowl or sauce potato and meat instead of burgers and fries. I probably eat more than most ppl I know and am smaller Candice. Not to mention I am turning 30 soon. I have never ate under 3000 calories a day. I shop at Costco as a single person and I eat more bread than a family of 5. There are skinny people and Candice looks like one of them. Just look at her body structure. She’s got meat on her. My legs, waist and arms are smaller than her and I got no bones sticking out.

i think candice looks flawless. that first pic is a little scary but come on…all of the VS models are one step away from looking “scary skinny” and i’m sure not one of them is at a healthy weight. no point in criticizing one over the others. i’d kill to look like any of them.

Candice is super thin but she doesnt look unhealthy. You can still see that she has some muscle and fat on her but shes just naturally tiny. She isnt boney or emaciated looking and is probably just one of those small percentage of girls that we all hate that is just naturally built very small… damn her lol! I think she looks good and she still has a some curves (just very tiny ones)…
