Here’s some of the latest celebrity body, diet and weight gossip floating around…

Susan Boyle – the singing sensation from Britain’s Got Talent – claims that sudden fame has caused her to lose weight in the beginning. “I hadn’t eaten properly for about a week, hadn’t slept properly,” she says. “It was like looking at everything through a glass, and the feeling was one of extreme exhaustion that manifested itself in firing off at everyone.” [Source]
Kate Moss has been slammed by critics after her recent comment “nothing tastes as good as skinny feels.” to Women’s Wear Daily. “Comments like this make it even more difficult for young people struggling with an eating disorder,” said Mary George, a representative of a British eating disorder charity called Beat. “She probably doesn’t realize how dangerous such comments can be.” Another model Katie Green considered her comment “shocking and irresponsible,” especially because Moss has a seven-year-old daughter, Lila Grace. Kate Hudson has allegedly lost 20 pounds recently for a movie role where she plays a terminally ill woman. (See last post – it doesn’t look like she’s lost any weight?) She supposedly lost the weight simply by cutting booze out of her diet. Meanwhile, Elizabeth Hurley claims that vodka doesn’t cause weight gain, but wine might. At parties, she sticks to a low cal vodka drink instead of her usual glass of wine. [Source].
Kim Kardashian is laughing off recent claims from a tabloid that she got nose and lip surgery. She says that Star ran a “before” photo of her when she was “about 15 lbs heavier than the second photo! Your face always looks different when you lose weight, plus with the contouring on my nose it gives the illusion of a thinner nose. I actually think my nose looks smaller in the first pic than it does in the second. It’s ridiculous… it’s all about the makeup and the angle from which the photo was taken!” [Source]

Hey everyone, from now on – along with my regular posts – I’ll be including a feature called Celebrity Diets & Skinny Bites that will collect the latest tidbits of news and gossip about celebrity weight, diet and body exercise from magazines, tabloids and other news & gossip sources. I’ll do these posts as often as there is new gossip to share, plus include a couple of random photos.

The Skinny Website is just about 4 years old, and posts like these are why I originally started the website way back in 2005 – in order to share the latest celebrity diet/body gossip.

OK! Magazine is claiming that Jessica Simpson has ‘lost 12 more pounds!’ by switching to a healthier diet. A friend of Jessica’s tells the magazine, “Jessica can lose up to seven pounds in a week when she puts her mind to it. She has it down to a science: She switches to a healthier lifestyle, and the weight falls right off.”
National Enquirer’s latest cover story is about Angelina Jolie’s alleged ‘collapse’ at home. The story claims that Angelina is down to 104 pounds and can’t stop losing weight. It goes on to say that Brad is forcing her into rehab because “she’s weak, frail and barely able to keep up with the demands of their kids” according to one source.
The same magazine claims that Mariah Carey’s weight has recently ‘exploded’. Her pals claim Mariah has put on a shocking 42 pounds from gorging on macaroni and cheese, fried chicken, caviar and lots of champagne. According to the story, even her husband Nick has been urging her to lay off the booze and fattening food. “She’s in danger of passing the 200-pound milestone if she doesn’t get her weight in check” says a source.
Ashlee Simpson is looking thinner than ever these days (as we’ve seen in recent photos), but supposedly she has a very healthy appetite and likes to chow down on cheeseburgers, french fries, soup, tacos, etc. Her ’secret’? According to a recent issue of Woman’s Health, Ashlee burns off the calories by running after Bronx and by doing Pilates. She originally lost the baby weight by sticking with a home delivery meal plan for a while, which she didn’t enjoy because of the ‘lack of food’.
According to an online source, Jennifer Aniston lost some weight by doing the ‘no white’ diet – not eating anything with starch in it. Britney Spears lost weight by eating a LOT of meat – turkey, salmon and chicken; and Jennifer Garner lost the rest of her baby weight by eating smaller meals and exercising more.
