God, she is SO skinny, especially in the shot from the side, you can see how she is basically falling through her jeans. Too thin for my taste and I don’t think she looks healthy. She looked amazing in Blue Crush…
Flat, yes – but I don’t know about toned.
So unattractive, like the kind of body you’d have from doing a lot of drugs or unhealthy substances – or just starving/puking yourself.
she’s skeletal and it’s sad! everything about her looks unhealthy especially her hair…this is what starving thin looks like, this is not over exercising/restricting or “puking” thin…this is starving thin people!! wow…
the picture of her from the side holding the plate of food while she looks/thinks about that very food with a woeful/concerned/worried/”not sure what to do in this situation” look about her is perhaps one of the saddest pictures i’ve seen on this site…it speaks volumes within itself. that picture says so much and it’s sad. she looks so alienated/alone in it and there is no place more alone than ED…
I actually don’t know what you all are talking about… this woman looks great! Very slim with nice definition in her arms and stomach. I think we are just so used to seeing chubby or altogether obese women who have normalized our view of “fat,” so Kate in comparison seems wildly malnourished. But in any case, let’s not be so quick to throw around assumptions of an ED, please.
I work with people who have ED’s. She does look like she has one. Not just her body, but her skin and hair as well.
I do agree with the previous poster about us being used to obese people and anyone who loses a little bit of weight is often accused of having an ED. But this is not a case of that
She doesn’t look great but I agree with Jules – you can’t assume she has an ED – I think she looks ‘unhealthy’ because her hair is greasy and she’s not wearing any makeup. But if her hair was blown out and she was wearing makeup, we would all think she looks fantastic and model-like.

I get that she’s really skinny. But I think you guys are being a bit dramatic over it. Ive noticed people are so easy on fuller figures and crazy over skinny women. I’m really thin and have an exceptionally tiny frame. Now I’m sure people would speculate I have an ED after seeing these comments. I just run 30-45 min max & only 3xs a wk. I eat really well portions and often. I think she’s fine…
I would like to add though…that i agree on her complexion looking malnourished and hair does look quite brittle/thin. My point is just because someone’s super skinny doesn’t mean they’re always depriving themselves.
…Or maybe she just have to look like that for the film.
i dont think her stomach looks so bad but its the way the jeans hang off her and dont fit her area…you know thats like a key sign to me…when jeans are baggy in the front…the back i can see but the front area..and besides if she cant fit in the smallest pair of jeans….to me thats to thin…
People are easier on fuller figures? Maybe in real life depending on your crowd but on sites like these fuller figures get all nasty comments
I’m not an expert on eating disorders, but to me she looks like the poster child for anorexia. It’s not just the skinniness and the state of her hair, but also her overal demeanor. For a woman her age she comes across as lifeless and energy drained. Not a pretty picture.
I agree…she does look pretty worn down. Tired is my most dreaded feeling. @Kimmy yes at least for me, I have noticed being hated on for my figure or ones comparable to me…and people bigger than me being praised a lot more. Or it could be my own complex causing tunnel vision haha

It’s obvious that this is not her natural size. She’s a slim girl but not nearly this slim. I see an ED all over her face and body. So sad the lengths we’re now having to go to prove that we’re exceptional or worthy. Being underweight is just as unhealthy as being overweight, that door swings both ways.
uh-oh. danger stranger. this one is DEFINITELY a candidate for my “eat a burrito” (or 5) campaign. she could use a hair brush too.

I think people didn’t mention the outfit because she was on set, so it might be for her character’s wardrobe.

I’m not usually very critical about anyone’s weight but she is really unhealthy looking. That kind of “skinny” is very unflattering. Maybe she’s naturally thin but I’ve seen photos of her from about 10 years ago where she looks stunning because she wasn’t so thin.
it is obvious that there is something going on here. I just ready the plot for the movie and it doesn’t look like it has anything to do with her being super thin, but I could be wrong. This is sad…to everyone saying that people are being hard on her just because she’s really thin, look again…this isn’t normal thin, or even really thin, she looks sick and has a distant look on her face, her skin and her hair are begging for some nourishment. I wish she would get healthy again, and I am not saying get chubby, I just mean maybe put on 10 pounds of healthy fat
I agree that whether or not she has an ED is not something that can be diagnosed/proven without knowing her personally. However in my opinion she doesn’t look healthy. Pictures of her 5-10 years ago show her looking more fit and athletic. Obviously her hair and clothing are choosen for her role in Homeland becuase she usually dresses very classy and elegant. She is a beautiful girl, I just wish that she would put on some weight so that those who consider her a role model would not aspire to look like her — unnaturally thin.
The movie is about druglords (meth specifically) in a small town… Maybe her character is an addict?
FYI she is playing Jason stathams meth addicted sister in this movie. The state of her hair and face is all character based. She might have even lost additional weight for this role – because after all, meth addicts are sick skinny.

she plays a meth addict in the movie! of course she is thin n her hair looks nasty, its a role! granted shes always super skinny but i think its just her shes been this way for so long
i don’t think people are making ED speculations purely based on her weight, more on her weight LOSS. in recent years she’s been very slim but she’s crossed over into scary skinny territory, i agree, that picture of her from the side where she’s looking at food makes me really sad
You have to keep in mind she is dressed to look really thin. Baggy jeans, a shirt that is too big. It is part of the role and the clothing was selected to make her look this way. Give the poor girl a break. She has an awesome body and is very toned.
